That's why I'd like to see Papaya to give players choice ie no resale when they do bazaar just like no search or other options to prevent Reseller from abuse or inflate prices.
Tbh, some items except maybe one time like POs shouldn't be in cash shop. Also, Papaya should add set range price to prevent players to set overpricy just like I mentioned from other topics.
I think Runscape does this. The NPCs hold the items sold to them, which players can buy as long as they are in stock. I'm not suggesting this (actually against it). Its interesting anyway.
I have never done it in game but I make a living out of it in real life.
I don’t really see a big deal if someone finds a good deal in game then has the patience to wait to sell it at profit.
It’s up to the original seller to determine what price he is happy with.
Then if the buyer gets it at a good price, and decides to sell it on....then someone else is also happy to buy it at that price then everyone is happy.
Surely this doesn’t have to be a big deal.
If we can only sell to npc then the are of crafting is gone.
I loved making master 18’s and then selling them at bazaar knowing that someone was happy to pay what I asked but also happy that that now can enjoy some awesome cannons.
@Crazy... i don't support it. Was just elaborating on someones comment to figure out what it would do. It's actually used in UWO for certain items though... untradeable items.
I'm pretty sure a big part of this game is based on buying low and selling high, so I do not want to ban that from the game. The more things to buy and sell, and the more ways to buy and sell, the better.
I always advocated that the lottery be removed altogether, and the ships even removed from the store. You can go on kommpromise, leave the ships in the store at a fixed price, but no more indulgence in the levels. More powerful ships only after reaching higher levels of the player.
We are now saying that we will fight with resellers ourselves, using lists, ignoring, warning in chats. But it's all useless. They will bypass all our efforts, and we will not even notice it. While the game will not be officially banned by the administration, a fixed price in the store will not work.
Just because the economy is smaller, it doesn't mean there isn't profits to be made on items. In terms of players like GinDracone and Brotherr and a lot those Seville DK guys, I bet they lost a lot, but I assume they will be up to their usual tricks to get back. (Be sure to remind new players not to loan anyone, anything.)
The art of "reselling" will never die. Buying something cheap, and selling it for more than you paid for it seems like good logic, and will live on forever...
A farmer buys a chicken. The chicken lays an egg. The farmer sells the egg to a distributor. The distributor sells that egg to Quick Check. Quick Check sells that egg to you. Is Quick Check and the distributor "resellers" since they sold the egg for more than the farmer sold it for?
Just because you don't create something, your not allowed to sell it for profit?
Im boycotting Quick Check, dirty resellers... Does anyone know a farmer where I can buy an egg?
Also part of the economy problem before was a dupe exploit that allowed trillions to flow into the market about 2-3 years into the server. They banned some alt accounts for it, but the money and most of the items was allowed to stay in the game because it had flowed into so many peoples accounts by the time they did anything about it. Netmarble screwed the pooch on that one.
All these behaviors blamed here are taken straight from real life. Buying and reselling at a profit is human nature, also the basis of free economy. The whole idea of this topic has been already attempted, under the name of communism, with state-controlled prices for everything. It resulted in shops displaying only empty shelves. BTW, i'm no reseller :D
they could always limit the amount of ducats you could hold or cheque's. this would hold prices from getting to high. if your only able to hold say 20B in cheques and say 200M in cash at the bank. you wont be able to sell ships like SNG for 40B because no one would have that much money on them. which would keep the game economy stable and keep resellers from inflating prices. i know all the people who only nanban all day would cry and bitch at this idea. they wanna be able to sit on there 200B ducats again but then in time it would only ruin the game once again.
@killa ,lol i wouldnt call your prices fair, as they often were crossing the wall between aceptable/rip-off, but i should admit that i dont had patience be all day on merchant chat, and by so had to get into my acceptable range. And also as a point in your favor is that you almost allways have the item i need to buy. :) and after many trades i could say im was someway very satisfied trading with you.
So i wouldnt mind resellers that are good merchants like you. :)
