Hello, my name is ScurvyTrader and I am a UWOholic.
and 1 other. I have over 12,600 hours logged on UWO.
I have been sober for 16 days.
To fill some of the time in the last 2.5 weeks, I read "The Name of the Wind" Patrick Rothfuss, 700 pages, an excellent book. I also read his second book "Wise Man's Fear" 1100 pages.
With no third book in the series, I was getting a bit jittery.
Still suffering from withdrawal symptoms, yesterday evening , I planned my first day back running different scenarios thru my head. There were multiple scenarios depending on how much fame I got in school. I listed out which skills and jobs I would pick up first and which cities I would go to to get the necessary books etc. There were many versions so I had to write them out.
Then last night I to confirm my addiction diagnosis, I dreamed about playing UWO!
No joke. hahaha

You said and said it well: "a lot of ego seekers here who are trying to impress others with
their maritime prowess threatening to be the future scourge of the seas.
Others who are committed to helping others and helping the game to
evolve into something that will again be enjoyable and profitable for
the host enabling it to survive."
I will be one of the ones "committed to helping others" as well as "promoting team/party/fleet operations"
mankind never learns...
