Couple questions...

AirhaunAirhaun Posts: 182Member Trainee

Questions:

1.       If we can run alts, I’m going to have a Dutch and a Spanish toon running through school in Groningen at the same time. Will that be a problem for the Spanish character? Or does it not matter what city you do the classes?

2.       I see Founder's Rewards the Adventure/Trade/Battle Skills Instruction gives +3 to that particular skill set for 1 day.  What does the “Advanced” version we get for Jobs Rewards do?

3.       What are some characteristics you want for an Adventurer’s ship?  Trade > speed & large cargo bay, Maritime > cannons, strong hull, man-power, etc.

4.       The ship skills listed for each ship on the website. If you have the required management skill, can you get all those skills on your ship? Trading Large Galleon on Wikia for example shows:

5.

1.       Enhanced ship handling

2.       Adjutant’s Cabin

3.       Improved Hold

4.       Galley

5.       Workshop

Do you get all of these?

(Hope formating came through ok)

1:  yes you can but there could be a language barrier, you might need bodylanguage and some food but otherwise should be fine( or just go pick up the languages for that area on your alt)

2: i think that item gives temporary boost to those skills for a few hours so rank +3, which provide many benefits for each class.

3: in my experience speed and wave resist. There is so much travel involved for the more advanced quests(and cool ones)

4: Unfortunalty my memory fails, i hope someone else will fill in.  But from what i can remember management skills only makes your ship parts more effective. to rank up management you must be using a modded ship.

to rank management u just need to be crafting while sailing (not sitting still) 1/4 sail works fine, and u get prof every time u have a GS (Great Success) with any ship with any shipskill on it (school reward ships get a shipskill when u open them, shipyard ships do not rank those skills until u mod a shipskill onto them).  Management, navigation, arms i don't think have any uses at all except they are the requirements

For adventure, since item plunder has returned i'd recommend u look into a hybrid ship, that has some speed, but also dura/armor and cannon slots.  Unless u wanna be "sheep" :D

Same advise for traders.  That large cargo super fast ship won't be as fast anymore u lose all ur sails to pirates.  Make sure u can defend urself.

Storage also works to rank up management, that's the easiest for me.

Pie Rat... where did Papaya say that Plunder of items has returned?

The license agreement on the launcher says that all the non-Koei software is owned by them.  Does that mean Payaya is a subsidiary of Vertigo Games which is a subsidiary of this launcher software company?
If Papaya doesn't control the game or the launcher or post more than a line or two a month... what do they do?  From what I've seen so far.. a single employee could run Papaya.

    1. You can go to any beginner or intermediate schools as long as you have port permits. But you will have to do separate to play Spanish and Dutch until you complete one of Intermediate courses to get all Europe permits. Then both toons can go to same school after you once get permit..

    Dutch-English
    Spanish-Portuguese
French-Venetian (French players need 100 fame or complete one of beginner course to unlock East Mediterranean

Those are perfect choice for players to play alts. Don't forget that you can create up to 9 toons if you have 3 accounts.

    3. As for Adventurer, I will go Speed, TS, and -25% cargo.

If you plan to get trading ships, you should try to max out WR while you get max cargo because full cargo will cause your ship sail like turtle. Oh make sure to set crews to max for survival against pirates since Papaya revamped PVP and plunder.

    4. As for Management, Arms, and Navigation, you must have ship skills such Galley, Heavy Bomb, etc.

    5. I am not sure because you might not able to get those right now because of reset ,so those parts may need to investment or development of ports.

As for Skill Instructions, it's 24 hours but can't exceed r15, though. I recommend you to get right job that you plan to grind skills ie casting, sb, adv skills, etc.

Adventure might be best for skill instruction because you can do fishing/collection while sailing then can do grind adv maps and take quests. Not to mention that you will have opportunity to use rescue, unlock, and other useful skills.

Merchant= You should focus on one production ie casting, sewing, or handicrafts.

Maritime= I will use it for BR as gunner. Melee, surgery, first aid and other battle skills.

    @LyonesseJoseph

What does "TS" mean? It's not on Wikia list of Abbreviations  ;)

Also is WR Wind Resistance or Wave Resistance?  Damn abvs.
  • AirhaunAirhaun Posts: 182Member Trainee
NM about WR. I only asked because I found an abv. for wind resistant mast.

4: you can only get 2 optional ship skills on your ship, 1 original ship skill from original shipbuilding permits 1-3 depending on skill. otherwise more skills can be added with ship fusion at grades 1,3 and 6.
management skill only allows you to use the skill that requires management to use

you folks talking about   turn speed  wave resistance and -25% cargo    you realize that it could be a week or 2 before anyone even has sb to that point to mod a ship?
