Hello. first let me say welcome to UWO. not sure how familiar you are yet with this game as well as our community. we have many long time players like who enjoy different aspects of this game. I need to say it has been very frustrating with the lack of communication with anyone regarding exactly what has or will change. how balances will occur and the like.
one of our main concerns is regarding this wipe and reasons or motives for this. truth is key here. some say wipe was for maxing PP potential profits? others say it was to restore old rules. this wipe /reset has cause great grief and anger and relief for others. i see many players will not be returning and many that will. with a small player base as it was i am not sure how long this server can operate. and depending on said changes you stand to lose more players.
i also understand that rules changes can bring back some of the former player who quit due to rules changes.
any info would be beneficial to this community as we try to sort out how we are going to rebuild this game.
BTW i am still very angry about the fact i lost 7 years and thousands of dollars . these founders rewards are nowhere near enough to fairly compensate us for our time lost. just my 2 cents
that being said i do wish you well here and i will do all i can to assist in rebuilding. depending on changes made will determine if i stay or not. hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
PS it would be a good idea to have some communication before the game launches

Still no official time of when the server opens. no news of the changes.

I totally get where Clem is coming from. And you guys keep brow
beating him about looking in the forums for info and keep pointing out
us being directed to the facebook page.
Especially you
Centex3kgt with all your little capital letters. The Facebook page has
squat for info this whole time. You condescending douche bag. Three weeks of
nothing on that stupid Facebook page. Found out about the 3 accounts per IP on the
forums (thanks to another player, not staff informing us). Found out
when the installer was fixed for 32 bit systems on the forums also.
Other than that the only info is still the vague statement on that main page. And 24 hour before launch they give us a time on Facebook. So all the checking Facebook for three weeks has been about as useful as making sure my captains chests were emptied before shutdown.
It really would have been nice if we could have gotten one post
(anywhere) over the past three weeks with some details on the changes
made. Even if they didn't bother to get involved in protracted Q&A
time but just one lousy post with some real details. Just 5 minutes of
someones time. How can you guys argue that?
And again, I am
trying to stay positive dispite being completely gutted over the wipe.
Dispite not being told about the wipe when I could have saved myself the
remainder of my money and all the time I spent like an idiot organizing
stuff that was going to be deleted. Dispite the continuous information
blackout.
I've been struggling to just stay quiet and hope whatever these changes they made are going to be good for the game. And I must say I was surprised and very impressed with the quick response over the installer not running on 32 bit systems and the speed at which the installer was patched. But seriously seeing another player asking for some info on whats going on with the changes and politely expressing his displeasure with being boned and left in the dark for 3 weeks... only to see the rest of you get all over his case really makes me sick.

The GM in the other post mentioned they have been monitoring the forums.
Yes they haven’t replied and yes we was all disappointed.
But this is just crying over spilt milk now.
It’s done, it’s happened. We need to move on and be positive.
Greeting the GM with a passive aggressive...”hi nice to meet you, here is where you have gone wrong....I may leave because of what you have all done...good luck and have a nice day”....
