Can We Agree Not to Take Other Known Characters Old IGNs?

General Discussion
Some folks may want to change their names, make new ones for whatever reason, which is all good. There are folks that have used the same IGN for a long time, and have talked about using it again. I was wondering if we could come to some understanding here to respect those folks and refrain from taking names too similar to those. I thought I saw a similar post buried here or on FB, but I couldn't find it. Feel free to sign here with the name you want to use.

    505 sure i will play for the short term and WendyWindblows will be 1 of my chars, may use my originl mains name for first char, which i have used for over 15 years of gaminf , will apply for catch22 if i play , mamacat and will let you its me

    I expect that a few hateful souls with vendettas might take anothers name away or even company name away.  If so... they will be named and shamed.

    I am going to stick with LJ. I suspect some players will take those names that they couldn't get it when they create characters.

    If changing your name I would suggest putting your old name in the personal comment line in the character info window..  at least for a little while

    we all know internet is full of horrible people, posting your desired IGN here is like saying "hey, use X name i want so i can't use it". i hope you all get the name you want, but this does seem like a bad idea to me
