  The suggestion (more like a pleading prayer, really) is for the creation of a forum category specifically for company recruitment and company information. I am going to bring back this discussion, because it is sorely needed.

  
  

  In the past, we had a dedicated category for companies to create recruitment and information topics. This separate category served two purposes:

  
  

  1) The category served as a central hub for all company-related topics, making it easy to find a company to join, to share and view detailed company-related information, or keep abreast of company events, among other things. This last point - displaying and viewing company information - was exceptionally helpful given how restrictive and lacking UWO's in-built company system actually is with excessively short company descriptions and twitter-sized company mail messages; these restrictions make it difficult to plan or get the word out about company-wide or company-sponsored actions and events, which is why company recruitment and information threads on the forum were so important.

  
  

  With their own separate forum category, such company threads will be able to stand apart from more general topics, and won't get drowned and lost to the activity of the General Discussion category.

  
  

  2) A separate forum category for company information/recruitment un-clutters the General Discussion category. General Discussion should be about general discussion of the game. Just as having a separate category for company-related threads made it easy to find info about said companies, keeping company-related threads out of General Discussion meant topics there were related to gameplay and the game. People could go there without even needing to even bother themselves with recruitment ads for companies they would never join.

  
  

  Under the current system, company threads are mixed within gameplay discussions and push those discussions onto the second page where they are less likely to be seen. Furthermore, some company threads have titles that seem like they would discuss a certain topic, but are actually simply recruitment threads, wasting time and causing confusion.

  
  

  A separate category for company threads would solve both issues. With people knowing where to look for company information, I feel it would contribute to healthier companies, and a healthier UWO community overall.
