Fast starter ship?

How fast is a tow cutter. I think that will be my next ship i want to be fast for sea charting and such. Also where do i buy one/ build one (SB R?). Ivyro isnt working for me.

    Tow cutter has a base (in cedar) of 302 vertical sail, 73 horizontal sail, and a hull size of 240 with two studding sails. It can be built in Barcelona I think (will require investment).
    A graduation sambuk has slightly more sails but a larger hull size, so the tow cutter is probably faster. The graduation sambuk is a reward for finishing the adventure school.

    This site gives ship stats, although it does not give the location or SB level required.
