  I think 8th slot perms are a fantastic way to make money, but Papaya has to be firm in what they choose to do. If they release relatively underpowered 8th slot items, I would hope they nerf the ones that make certain modes/classes unbalanced. Lets face it, I love the M249, but every heavy has it in BG, and it really crushes any chance a F2P would have trying to take bases or use vehicles cuz it makes the heavy the ultimate class. Triple Famas in CQC is also quite hard to play against. If Papaya releases new retails that blow the old ones out of the water, then you make the game even more unbalanced. I will personally uninstall if the heavy gets yet another LMG or something silly like a shotgun.

  
  

  They can choose to release new retails, but they would have to justify their existence to be purchased. I personally don't want to buy just the gun itself if it means I also have to buy 8th slot all the time to use it. If it's like the old school retails where it is directly inserted into the account and gives you the smokes + medkit 2 I would probably buy it in a heartbeat if it was something good or desired.

  
  

  The train of thought is Papaya needs to make it worth it to purchase such a package idea. I am not spending 20-30$ on a gun that is going to require me to keep paying just to be able to use it. I am also not going to pay 20-30$ for a gun that is not competitive in some mode. Example, I will buy a Bizon for my engineer since it's fantastic for zombies, but I will not buy an Uzi for my engineer cuz it's not useful in zombies, nor is it competitive. I will buy a TAR-21 for my Assault since it is legal in ESL and is relatively useful in CQC, but I will not buy the OTs-14 cuz it is not competitive.
