Game Crashes When Entering Doors/New Sea Zones

For the past year or so
prior to the transfer, the game had been crashing with a high
probability whenever I enter a new sea zone, enter or leave a city or
land zone, enter a door in a city, or teleport to a port in a city. I am having the same problem after the re-launch.
I tried all the solutions suggested in related threads in the OGP forum
and more including: updating the game's security software, checking for interference from my
anti-virus or firewall, re-downloading the game, updating windows,
updating my video card, trying different resolutions, turning off
graphical features, shutting down programs running in the background, monitoring network utilization, and monitoring memory utilization.
I don't get any unique error message. It just says that the program has stopped running and that windows is searching for a solution as it would if a browser had crashed.

Every once in a while, usually very late at night/early morning, the problem goes away or becomes less likely for 1-2 hours.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so, has anyone resolved it? Does anyone have any new suggestions I could try?
I went into the properties for the game and set the compatibility to my current version of windows (it used to work with this version in the past) and the privilege level to run as administrator. The compatibility is supposed to be used for programs that work with previous versions of windows, and I already had my shortcut set to ask to run as administrator, but the crashing diminished a lot after going into the compatibility section of the properties. I think I originally saw this suggestion in another bug thread, though I don't recall which one.
