    @CrzyPsycoChick. I agree with your points about alts, and yes I know I will be attacked agreeing with you but I don't care. The people who complain needs to chill and play their game their way and let everyone play their game the way they want

    learn to read aceman39 i said the assclowns using 5 alts at one time is cheating. when you see a fleet of the same cloned toon named cook caster mule handi and one has a somewhat real name as the main. yes that is cheating using 5 toons at one time and their IP should be banned

    @aceman39 & LyonesseJoseph  i don't have a problem with alts i use 1 myself. what i do have a problem with is the 5 toon alt multi fleets.

    Yeah, I can agree with that. However, I have other concerns that many players exploited the loopholes especially high rank adventure skill quests and others that need to be closed. Alas, I doubt they can stop players from create 5 toons even if they ban them ,but they will create other toons over and over again.

    Only if they have ability to ban IP from access Papaya's sites that could solve problem.

    Ok my 2 cents on the whole alt topic, and I'll do my best to not bring it up again.

    I am adamantly against them, as I believe they go against the Heart and soul of a MMO to me, the interaction with others. When you thru various means can do everything To me thats kinda defeating the point. I love the fact that my character has weaknesses and stuff they can't do. That just makes the things I can do for other feel so much better, working together to achieve more than we could alone. Now this is just in reference to playing multiple characters at once. IF you have a secondary character and they are on the same account so you can try something different or just to have a lowbie in school to help others, I'm ok with that.

    All this being said, I'll not Attack *both literally and like verbally* anyone that does run multi, as long as its with in the ToS. As just can't I disagree with it don't give me the right to get all uppity at them, again as long as they are playing by rules.

    *this was not directed at anyone with in the comments so far Just general statement, Picked this thread as it seems to be a popular one on the topic*

    Give it a few weeks/months. Admittedly, I've been through it before, so I needed less time to see it, but give it a few months and you'll see the very obvious, negative impact they have on the server as a whole.

    This, right here is where the heart of the problem lays. You'll see naked people, or newbies in their school outfits, running around the same ports as you, in full gear, while you're grinding some production skills. You'll soon realize that 90% of the people you see are alts, for the higher level characters playing Traders and Maritime. You'll realize that the majority of people on the server have no need for your specialized services (ship building aside) because they easily have an alt who can provide that.

    Yeah, you'll still sell your stuff, mainly because people are too lazy to gear up their alt and stock up on the goods for production. But, you will in no way, shape, or form, be among a special group of people, dedicated to a craft.

    I started a "company" in Star Wars Galaxies that was dedicated to "off world" mineral harvesting. It was fun being among a group of adventurers, fighters, warrior, who also monopolized distant planet resources. We ran a decent percent of the market and made friends with many of the crafters, who also gave us free samples.

    That's what UWO should be like.

    During the OGP days, I operated two toons; one from the Netherlands and one from England. I LIKE the idea of alts (so long as people try to keep it within reason; after all, no one needs seven alts *even then, it isn't really my concern, so I don't say much beyond getting any pirate friends of mine to go after said fleets >:) *), and think that having them adds something to a person's gameplay. It allows one to more easily play two different types of gameplay (with an added bonus of taxing the brain and thus making it more flexible.

    In fact, I only have ONE toon now, but may soon create an alt. :)

    That all said, get on with playing and be the best YOU that you can be. Let the Admins worry about "multiboxers" and the like.

    1. Sevillians limited space  adds extra space 
    2. Saves money as you won't have to spend as much on storage
    3. The more alts bringing an item the more it lowers the price ie.  Spice dropping from 200k to 40k now
    4. Increase fun as you can have one doing something you don't like while you have fun ie. Shipbuilding , collection,  waiting for food in taverns
    5. EVERYONE in game CAN do it so its an even playing field  and no particular player has an advantage 
    6.  Easier to build FS parts that require high ranks in multiple crafts
    7.  Experience more aspects of the game faster rather than focusing on single toon  at a time
    8. More revenue for publisher as more toons need for items ie NPC or SSIP or Astro ships  or boosts
    9. Monitor multiple chats this is CRUCIAL for sellers who don't want to miss a deal or rare items 
    10.  Easier to develop ports or unlock items or permits more room means faster unlock for us


    Theres 10 advantages to multibox

    4.... you want to buy out food in the taverns as your off doing what, making food to sell to those that cant get it in a tavern you clean them out as the restock. ok thats dogs act at all.... (idk if thats your MO or not)

    5 again no one should feel the need to just to compete in the open market you hold so near n dear

    7 is big coming from you. may i ask how much of your gameplay is outside your starting city....

    This is how I know you dont play trader or seller in this game.  You dont believe in Supply and Demand or competition you think people with alot of money because they can pay then everyone else in the game decided let me raise my price just to sell to them and people MUST PAY that amount.  See the difference between you and me is I actually give examples like I gave in my explanation on the other page which you said you didnt read because its too much reading lol.  The rarity of the bottle drop influences that I gave examples of ships for instance that rose and fell due to supply and demand which you didnt  acknowledge because you have no legit counter to it. If you Dont like the price dont pay it I had way more money than many people and I NEVER was overcharged for anything I didnt want to you know why because if someone has a high price I know somebody has a lower one and I'll wait if I want to.  rich people dont set the prices for goods the market does but you dont believe in that.

    Tavern Food is to make Aide food surprised you didnt know that and not all foods are used to make aide food so people still have food there if they need it and even if they didnt  they can make their own food or get somewhere else  the problem is you baby people and dont let them compete. I get the impression you dont believe in competition at all... also i mention Shipbuilding or collecting again you didnt mention it

    If you dont believe in competition then an MMORPG  really isnt something you should be playing. UWO is driven mostly by competition its the MAIN reason it has still existed to this day.  If you have a factory with human workers and you produce 100 products a day and I have a factory with robots and produce 1000 products a day  then I need to shut down to give you a chance? hell no lol you either step it up and get robots or you sell cheaper either way competition is UWO.

    What does what I do have to do with anything Im just one player but you know your MO deflect from what i said instead of address it.  I was referring to the hundreds of other players but if you refer to me...alot acutally  I did win the land battle title how did you think i did that sitting seville all day.  In addition many time i was out collecting things to craft I had my auction alt auctioning or selling in seville.  I was just in Zanzibar yesterday btw and in carribbean today since you want to monitor my movements.

    What they may lose in storage they more than make up in SSIP  NPC Boosts and Astro ships.  Just so you know many more people would rather buy those things than  pricey temporary storage anyway. dont believe me ask them in game. Why didnt you address the other items I mentioned?

    DO you even know what free market even means?  Free market definition means freedom to sell and buy what you want when you want and supply demand and competition will regulate prices on it own.  Now please explain how does listening to Merchant chat destroy the free market by PREVENTING anyone in the game from listening to Merchant or selling or buying their goods?  We all in competition either step it up or you will get left behind thats the game.

    Again thats up to the devs at Koei Not you.  Its their call not yours if they want people to have alts to speed it up process and you dont thats your problem. Join Koei and change it then until then youre just some random guy ranting about it.

I also say UWO is a game about competition and free market and that we play how we play with alts for many reasons but like I said a lot use them for storage and he has said that is cheating the game and the developers and I also pointed out that it is coded in the game to use alts before and I was told anyone who use alts or multis are cheating and he has gone so far as tho curse me and message me on here privately and cursed me for my views which is just what you stated. But hey what do we know. I only got my degree in business and hey I guess I know nothing of supply and demand which is basic class 101

    you have no clue do you CPC look at what storage cost per month n tell me it will be recovered from the SSIPs n boots that people will be buying anyway
