Mods for this game

Are there any mods for this game? Like naked characters, or trees on shores, or HD textures... It seems that somewhat improved textures do exist: https://www.dualshockers.com/ps4-version-of-uncharted-waters-online-gets-screenshot-comparison-vs-pc-will-run-at-1080p-and-more/
Has no one ported that to PC?

I've seen that before, not really a huge difference, but noticeable. Porting it would take too much time probably, that and not everyone has high-end graphics cards.
It's alright, Ma, I'm only bored.

It is an absolute fact that UWO's graphics are from an elder era. A fresh overlay in textures, objects and details would definitely make it more attractive and the feeling would be much better but it would probably make the game much heavier and slower for some players instead. However some slight improvements should be able with today's technologies without slowing the game down that much I think.
If such mods exist, I might try them out as long as they guaranteed do not harm the game itself.

The dated graphics is one of the charms of this game.

    Psst:
shows apparently that only Japan gets PS4 version of Uncharted Waters Online.

Why Koei doesn't bother to add such updated graphics to English-language UWO for PC/Windows nor have a setting for such is beyond me.

I'd like to stress this topic again, especially as a question to players from Japanese/Korean servers that I've seen on this forum. Is there not anything at all?

All files are locked away in .bin files, we normal people can't edit those.

Another big reason this probably isn't possible is that in order for a game to accept mods the game engine needs to support it aswell. The coding behind the game needs to be 'dynamic' enough to accept other files.

Also GameGuard exists, that anti-cheat software is so stupidly over engineerd (Fair and all it works and I have never seen any form of cheating in UWO).

If you look at the images from the websites posted above, I don't think they changed the textures but rather the color settings and shadows, shadows play a major role in how 'good' a game looks.

Imo after 10+ years the PC version could use a graphics retouch, but for all we know there are players playing UWO especially because they have 'toasters' and need the lower graphics to run the game properly.

The best thing to do is to adjust the 'settings' of the settings page, more options for higher graphics or shifting the settings to a higher quality in general.
