SSB as MA reward and SB Oxford skill

As a long time UWO player(6 years), I'm curious if Papaya Play will perpetuate the tyrannical practice of having the Memorial Album reward for Hulls set be a Delphin Storm sail on this server instead of a Secrets of Shipbuilding as it is on all the other servers. That MA set isn't exactly easy to do,and an SSB would be a much more substantial(and permanent) reward for the effort than a one tome use FS part. I'm really hoping Papaya Play takes the high road here and does the right thing. Also, why is the Oxford skill that reduces SB time by 50% not available to us yet? Please fix that asap thank you.

Finally, an interesting post!!!! I too would like to see the oxford skill that cuts sb time added - that would be totally awesome as they used to say in the 80's. I never even heard of the reward for memorial albums, but getting an SSB for the one mentioned would definitely be the way to go! Nice post!

If you dont want to wait for SB long, just use ESBR.
SSB will be put into Event Tickets as main prize in near future, but it wont be less than 2 bil.

The 50% time to build ships was added on the last patch before OGP dropped the game. It was one of the thesis from building 2 and really easy to complete - just not sure what the requirements for the course to show up were.

Of course that doesn't mean the course is still there since I guess PP could have asked for it to be removed before the launch?

Well, If Papaya Play is going to:

A) Remove the Oxford SB 50% reduction time skill that we had on GAMA,

B) Continue the tyrannical practice of having a Delphin Storm sail as the MA reward for the Hulls set instead of an SSB, and

C) Make the only way to get an SSB in the game either from a Ticket or the plunder experts(billions for 1 either way)

then they're going to lose a lot of new players. And probably some vets. Because that is exactly what Netmarble did. Yes, we got the Oxford skill on OGP, 5-6 months before the end. So, as far as I can see it, Papaya Play can either do the right thing and put the SSB as MA reward and get the SB Oxford skill put in Stat(like yesterday) or, they will start losing players, new and vets. And I won't blame them for it....at all.

And how many billions will you try to make with SSBs Cali? Have you even tried to do the Hulls MA set? It's one of the harder MA's to do. And a one time use FS part just isn't realistic compensation for it. I'll keep maintaining that not having the SSB as a reward for that MA set is, plain and simple, tyranny. Yes, I understand that this server has some things different than the other servers. But for this, it's dead wrong. Because the only players that benefit from it are the very rich that'll buy Tickets to get SSBs and the high plunder(PvPers and usually pirate) players.

Culvern, disguised patrol vessel near the newfoundland north landing is the one that has the ship engineer's chest. The ones with 5x ships led by a blue-sailed heavy frigate is the correct fleet.

So you do not want to put work on the actual activity that will help you getting SSB but you want them to change the reward for a memorial album you will eventually complete so you can just get one in a click of a button? You should be thankful that there are at least ways to obtain those in-game.

Might be a bit before I can tackle that fleet often enough to get the book but I will work on it.

It is a very rare drop, I don't mean the treasure chests but the content in it is random. Usually it's shipwright's saw or hammer, or those shipwright basics books, and then very rarely, SSB. Good luck.

The "actual activity" is doing the memorial album set Cali. Ever try it? It's not just "one click of a button", it's very hard to do.And if you think I should be grateful that only the Plunder Kiddies like you and the RL rich that buy a lot of Event Tickets(because I'm very sure that if the SSB is in a Ticket it will be a VERY rare drop) may be the only 2 ways to get an SSB, then you are beyond delusional. It was tyranny with Netmarble, it was tyranny with OGPlanet and if that's what Papaya Play does then it's tyranny with them as well.

I' previously asked you if you've ever done the Hulls MA set, and you haven't said yes, so I'll take that as a no. There is a lot to do before "the click of a button away" becomes a reality, including 70k development of your Capital city for one of the hulls. And I don't assume everyone knows less than me. Just some, which is valid given my 6 year of experience.

It doesn't really matter to me whether if the SSBs become available from other sources or not. I'm not planning to get rich from selling them. As long as it stays in a way that an in-game activity would reliably end in a possibility of getting them, that's fine with me. Some things in game are not that fortunate enough to have a rather consistent way of doing it, see LSS. Ganador was one way, now that is nerfed. LSS in shipwrecks is so rare it's pretty much like it doesn't exist. Gold rush? forget it, it seems to only appear once in several months, IF you're fortunate enough to get any sufficiently large gold nugget in the first place.

No I have not tried to finish that MA. I am not really planning to defect. But I know what it requires. Just because I haven't done it that doesn't mean I know zip about it. My first post was a suggestion about participating in the plunder activity, as MA is not the way of getting them in this server. You must not like plunder, and I get that. I don't, and I'm not equipped to plunder any of those blue sail fleet, either. However you immediately dissed that idea with a tone to suggest as if I was trying to manipulate the price of it, or reselling. I didn't like that. That's all. It does not help that I was getting tired of some old-time players being entitled and arrogant in this game. If I sounded unnecessarily hostile, it was because of that. Sorry if that was the case.

All I've ever said was that what Netmarble started with changing that MA reward was tyranny and was perpetuated by OGPlanet. What I'd like to know from Papaya Play is: will that still be the case? You said "My first post was a suggestion about participating in the plunder

The Oxford skill "Efficient Shipbuilding" is now available. A huge thank-you to Papaya Play for doing the right thing. This is an encouraging sign, let's hope the trend continues and the Memorial Album reward for the Hulls set is Secrets of Shipbuilding as well. One thing I wanted to point out regarding that is: Is it really a too far fetched a concept that a Shipbuilder, using the Shipbuilding skill(at a very high rank), earns a reward for it that gives +1 to the skill Shipbuilding?

@CrzyPsycoChick that oxford skill was already implemented in last patch notes you need only second building (which requires less than 20 reports ) and either ShipBuilding Repair or Firefighting at Rank 7+.

@calicaddy46 he does have a point, the post was never about changing the way it is currently obtained, it is in all other servers a MA reward for that collection.

even if it did down the value of the SSB remember most people do get 7 nation paying UWC for defection applications so we all win if they pay more for the game so we can play for free.

why so much fuss over a item u dont really even need just refineing +aide lets u hit 20.
And as a rare plunder its the best/rarest thing theres not a lot going for rare plunder players other thin a hand full of books.

I think its fine as it is why try to kill off another way of making cash for battle players.The amount of time u need to put in to being able to rare plunder is a ton with aide lv/your own lvs and good ship .Thin untold amount of time to even get lucky to get a book form a chest.
Not everthing should be handed to us lest keep some things rare

There are other sb items why try to make another item ingame lose price to let alts abuse it .

*SIGH* And I reiterate, why shouldn't a Shipbuilder, using the Shipbuilding skill at a very high level be able to, as a reward for completing a Memorial Album all related to Shipbuilding be able to receive a reward better than a 1 time use Delphin Skysail, like say, something that helps them do better Shipbuilding and doesn't lose dura from sailing around? And again I say, I'm not opposed to the people who want to get them from the chests, in fact, I'd say I hope more drop, not like "make it rain SSB's" when OGP did that, but more, as in, enough that the price stays within reasonable bounds. But, why are you opposed to what I think is actually a chance for Papaya Play to do the right and decent thing and finally undo the tyranny of Netmarble/OGPlanet that will let Shipbuilders get their own SSBs. However, all is still silent regarding this from Papaya Play at this time. I await their response......
