So I'm going to copy/paste my Captain's Log over here from the Netmarble/OGP forums. So some of these posts are a bit old and out of context. But I wanted to preserve them :) Author's Note: Gonna give this an attempt. Setting it up as a story for this character on his 'life' in-character and how I perceive it. I've not decided yet if I'm going to emulate the 'Ezio Auditore' as my avatar is how I picture my character despite the toon in-game looking slightly different, so I might, but I'll have to think on that. This might get more loose and out-of-character as I go along. Will try to add a new chapter every few days or so if not sooner depending on how my schedule irl goes. We'll see. ;)

Chapter 1- July 23, 2012
The smell of salt and sand was strong as he lay there, gently swaying back and forth in his commandeered hammock out on the Grand Cayman island. The consistent breeze wafting up off the ocean ruffled, against his nose making him crinkle it in disapproval, the russet-gold colored tresses of his hair—bleached a white-blonde in some parts from long days in the sun. The lazing man gave a faux-aggrieved sigh as he shifted on the net of ropes strung between two sturdy palm trees that creaked with his movement. How hard was it to merely relax these days? Sheesh. He thought he’d done it all correctly, unbuttoned his loose shirt a few rows so air flowed nicely along his torso, his breeches weren’t restricting his legs any and he’d even toed his boots off. So why couldn’t he shake what was on his mind and just sleep?
Maybe it was merely the turmoil he was going through having just enlisted in a new company? Yes…perhaps that was the reason for his unrest. He was excited of course for this new opportunity, however he was always one for nostalgia, call it a bit of a hopeless romantic flung in there somewhere and it was easily a bad mixture for the privateer. He had no fear for his future’s outlook. He knew he would be safe and well-cared for, taught many useful skills and tricks of the trade that he could use to become stronger and more adept at combat. However his old company, his first company really, would always have that soft spot in his squishy insides he suspected with a soft forlorn sigh.
Readjusting himself once more on the hammock so the sun overhead was shaded from his eyes— compliments of a helpful palm branch above—he fell back into contemplation, one arm thrown over his head haphazardly. He’d grown up in his old company: BlackOceanMercs, and it was all he’d ever known, all he’d ever pledged his loyalty to. And yes, they stubbornly struck out the spaces in their name, just to spite the company administration. He could smile back on the early beginnings of the company, not because he was there from the inception of it, but because he had enlisted when it was still a young establishment. When he was still young...

Chapter 3 – November 27, 2012
After he’d explained his operative plans to the two ships he was going to rescue and hitched them onto his ship to tow into the port in sight of them, out of the gloom of the evening cruised three white shark fin-sails. Following behind the first set, was a second set. Supporting those sails was a warship rigged for pirating--a Custom La Royale—and it took Ezio’s breath away. Sitting there both in abject terror of his first pirate sighting and awestruck wonder of how gorgeous the deadly ship was he wondered if hailing the ships was futile or not.
Sitting ducks they were, three smaller ships hitched onto his own galley, the entire fleet dwarfed by a single one of those Royales when it cruised by. The second ship was just for show it almost seemed as he knew he was about to meet his end when the leader swerved back around after an initial inspection and aimed towards them. They say a great white shark gives a first curious bite to an object or victim to check what it is before devouring it. Ezio surmised these pirates didn’t need their cursory bite, they barely needed one to devour the entire fleet sitting behind him. A shot across the bow wasn’t even fired before they’d engaged him and his companions.
Screaming orders to the fleet behind him to scatter, he watched them vainly snap the towropes and open their damaged sails in a vain attempt to flee. Bellowing to his own crew to turn a broadside to the oncoming monster of a ship bearing down on them, he watched as the boarding ropes sailed across his deck, tiny in comparison, and any cheer he held inside for the raking of his ship’s broadside cannons firing upon the pirate ship didn’t escape him. He could see barely 3 cannon balls strike true before the others were too close to do damage. By then it was too late. And by then, the ship was close enough that he could see the Captain was ‘Sea Ruiner’, he gathered later once the incident was over his partner in the other Royale was ‘Hacecolita’.
His crew was slaughtered mercilessly, his hold was plundered quickly, and he was left at the helm, a bit bloody from his own struggles against the boarding crew. He sustained a few wounds here and there but no wound as great as the death toll on his ship staining the water red. The fight was over before it began and he too was in the same position as the fleet he’d valiantly come to rescue. Only he was able to rescue himself and had a few crewmen who survived by hiding pass along the message to the fleet he commandeered to hitch back on when the two Royales cruised away with their prizes. He waited deliberately until they were out of sight in hopes that they’d be able to run for the port.
Looking back on things now, he had managed to secure rescue for that fleet. That fleet consequently enlisted in his company alongside him. Welcoming Mrs Edger and her husband into the company was the good news among all the ransacking against them.
