General Discussion
What we WORRY about:
1-Instability?
2-Will UWO become pay2win?
3-Is papaya a company to trust?
4-Another wipe?
5-Pirates?
6-Progress

What YOU can do.
#1 Economy will work its sell out... if you do not understand how it works, do NOT spread rumors of it going down the drain?.. I believe it will be fine, so far we have resellers who flux it around, but the Eco is pretty stable for the time.
= Sell reasonable and STOP BUYING over priced.
#2 UWO has never been Pay2Win, and it is nearly impossible to make it that.
There are many ways to pay, and get cool things.. but you can for the most part craft/trade around and buy things you could purchase on the shop from players for a ...eh fair price if you get around.
If not that , in game gear can work against shop gear/ships the same way.
RANKS over POWER cash.
#3 You shouldn't trust any company, we have been through many for UWO and I'm pretty sure we all have decided this..
I personally think they can "Make UWO great Again".
So far they have done everything I would have done myself if I were in the positions.
Balancing The shop..getting vets back interested, wiping eco, fixing the ticket rates...
#4 There will not be another wipe.
Wiping a server, is a risk and dodge at death for a game, the game would close down before another reset.
#5 For new players, and fairly old, pirates are not a threat.
Pop a blue flag, bring player tributes, or grind some battle..
Even in a trade vessel you can wipe a pirate...In my experience very little red/orange names grind enough. (Goodluck)
#6 This game is all about progress... I know we lost years of work.
This is our chance to make it better, we had great times so lets make better?

My Thoughts:
Look, we all are in this together..
UWO is our game we love, our escape..
We all have history here.
So,
I encourage you to help the new players make a foundation for themselves.
Help them figure out the game like you have.
Help them through Imperial Quests to unlock the world.
Teach them how to quest, and adventure.
Teach them how to track map pieces and pull them ships ashore, and charting!
Teach them how to work the rates around the world,
how to work production skills.
How to grind!
How to hold there own in a fight!

Guys, if you truly love Uncharted Waters Online.
Stop complaining..and just reach out your hand, or don't be shy to ask for one yourself.

    Anyone who thinks the economy is just fin, has no idea what the game *SHOULD BE LIKE* from the start of a new server. I was there on day... 6 or 7 of the original server in 2010. 

    Nobody.. and I repeat N O B O D Y had 500 mil D (twice that if they had multiple OGP accounts) in the bank and the ability to flip half a dozen key ports in the first 2 hours of the game. 

    People weren't grinding their Ship Building in the first day, because N O B O D Y had millions to lose in making garbage ships to sell back to NPCs until the server was months old.

    People weren't uber-fleeting to grind IQs because N O B O D Y could afford to sail that distance, that long and that often to constantly repeat the quests until weeks, if not months, went by.

    N O B O D Y could afford to purely grind Maritime because N O B O D Y could afford to constantly lose money, restocking supplies, buying consumables, feeding crew and damaging their only, precious ship.

    For you and other "vets" to talk about the economy being fine and leveling out, I have one question for you? Level out to what? When you do the Circumnavigation quest and are rewarded with... I think it was 5 mil D... for 2 hours worth of sailing and fighting (since you couldn't afford fast ships, or millions to just spam AoSes non-stop)... and you treat that reward money as though it was less valuable than the lint in the bottom of your pocket, I'd love to know what you think the economy will level out at. When people can spend 50 mil D on PO4's and afford to dump 1 mil D worth of perfume in the ocean to gain the Spice Trader skill, I'd love to know what you think the economy should level out at.

    And the fact that you will probably consider everything I just mentioned to be pocket change since you're only referring to the billion-ducat ships previously on the market, shows exactly how warped  the sense of "normal" has become for this game's economy.

    Stop behaving so selfishly mate.

    I've not seen so many people playing the game for a long time. New players and old players. They're all having a blast.

    It's not the same game you played in 2010. You've been away 5 years. You're not going to make it like it was 7 years ago. It's changed - matured, developed and become a sophisticated construct of how people behave in real life.

    You've got what the Germans call 'schadenfreude'. You want the game to fail so you can rub your hands and say "told you so". That is just plain selfish.

    The game is big enough for you to play your game. But if you want to be the influential player that you were 7 years ago you've gotta behave smarter than you are now. 

    No one's gonna turn back the clock just for you. Get busy playing or get busy going.

    I bet PPPlay will create another clean server starting from the original without any patch.

    Then Maris will just be turned into a ghost town while everyone does their “Pay2Convenience” journey again in the new server.

    A wipe is unlikely, but not letting people reaching end game so that the ships being sold endless times is entirely possible.

    PPPlay should not be trusted, because it does not care about anyone other than their quick cash grab.

    @katana. Every post from you is that the game sucks and will be dead soon. Why are you wasting time with the game or the forum. You obviously are bitter and UWO would be much better without you at this point.
    Hope you can find the ability to forget gama and just try Enjoying the game again, if not, perhaps you should find another game to play that will bring you happiness.

    I was just being honest. I say sh-it if i see shi-t. I would not as-s-lick and lie to myself pretending everything is ok while the reality is rather negative.

    The natural response to negative reality is either live with it or fight it. I choose to fight it by letting everyone see its ugly nature and analyse the evil hand behind it.

    Some people always pretend to smile even though shit has been thown onto their faces. They are the reason why OGP went super greedy, and why PPPlay dared doing whatever they like. Coz those ppl are going to say, let’s stay positive and move on! I consider them bring morons.

    I value justice more than just a personsl feeling of positivity or negativity.

    Call me negative if you like, but in a lot of ppl’s heart they knew what i criticised was truly unjust.

    and if you don't play the server anymore you won't know what's going on.
    It's natural to go into a anger when you put time into something to see it go well..NOT your way.

    But cursing out someones post because you can't handle your own daddy issues....doesn't make you any better then OGPlanet.

    I encourage you to stay in game and continue to play with all of us...But like many have showed you...

    Look we all lost out in the wipe.
    You want 'justice'?
    For what? How? Who?
    Empty words that is all they are.
    You are really pointing out the obvious. We all know that we lost all our hard work and cash we put into the game. I don't understand what you think complaining about it nonstop is going to do?
    If you cannot get over the loss everyone can understand that, and we all wish you well in finding a new source of entertainment.
    If you can get over it, then let's do that and start again.
    Will the game be miraculously fixed and have incredible population increase and all issues fixed? Of course not. I will slowly die off. Perhaps even quickly.
    But I still plan to play it and enjoy it for now.
    No one is pretending at all.
