Forum to Submit Bad Translations, Spelling Errors & Other Information

As many people have noted, there are a lot of errors in the game that are not necessarily *bugs* rather just a result of misspellings and other issues.  A great many of us vets remember that it took several years to get the "Japanese incest" error fixed.  I have been waiting for several other years for the "Craving of Jesus' resurrection" quest title to be corrected.

Could we have a dedicated thread or forum to submit this typographical errors that make some of us a little crazy?

I have a better idea.  I would love to spend the next 3 months pouring through the game's dialogue and text, correcting issues, fact-checking, and correcting as needed.  I have an English degree with Creative Writing emphasis. I do editing in my spare time.  It is absolutely aggravating to see all of these errors, especially quest breaking errors that take sailors to the wrong place, and not be able to correct them.  Papaya, you want to make a go of making this game work.  Then please, please, please, for the love of UWO, let's get together and correct the horrible translation and make it a game that English-reading players can get behind.  So many people end up quitting simply because there's not enough emphasis on making clear and concise instructions and the world chat is too often full of bullies and haters that attack new players for asking questions while school chat is filled with AFK alternate characters that wouldn't say boo to a ghost in a haunted mansion.  Just give it a chance, please.

We used to have a program under Netmarble that did this...volunteer players who tested quests, checked for spelling and grammar errors, and so forth, but was managed by a third party company.

I am fairly certain, by the current state of things, that sort of option is long gone, however, I do believe, from my former time as a CA and involved with the old FM program, that we have a LOT of dedicated players who would enjoy doing this kind of work for the good of the game as a whole.  But I am not seeing a lot of utilizing of the player base at this time.  I hope this changes in the future.

It appears that now, these "irritants" are most likely of the absolute lowest priorities.   But it does speak to care and quality, which are essential components in making a game enjoyable for the veteran and the new player.
