Cant Do Auctions Due to World Chat Bug and Random Disconnects :(

Sigh....


I cant Hold Auctions for you guys due to these two issues known as the World Chat bug and the random disconnects.   I wanted to put it here because a lot of people in the game pm me and ask me everyday about when is the next auction and I have to keep explaining(20 times or more a day).


The World chat bug makes anything you type in World Chat not appear so If I cant advertise the item in World Chat/Merchant Chat  or post bids I cant hold the auction.  Now there is a Work around  in which if you log out and log in sometimes you can talk again Ive had to do this at least 10-20 times before it starts working cool but here is where the other issue comes the "random disconnect".  So after 10-20 logins to get it working and you finally can talk again you randomly disconnect and cant talk again and have to log in another  10-20 times.  The issue also happens when you dont have people on the block list aswell so this doesnt fix it.


Imagine I'm mid auction and this happens I wouldn't be able to get back on to finish for like 5-15 minutes as random disconnects happen rather often.  People would be furious... 

I cant hold auctions
I cant answer question of newbies
I cant hold free giveaways or raffles
I cant buy or sell my items in Merchant Chat
I cant ask questions or find fleets to do things


Please Papaya make fixing these issues a priority it to the point where the game really is unplayable for some whats a MMORPG where you cant talk, converse and team up? :(

    Same here.

    My alt Lana had been disconnected for 6 times like every 2 minutes or so ,so I had to close them because it's getting ridiculous when only Lana got dc'd every time.

    Just so you know Aruna I did auctions and all of the ones I did for you with Alts  and multibox thats how I was able to store all that stuff for people (often times hundreds of items) I didnt want to use shared storage because if something happened with either my account or somehow couldnt pay to get the stuff out I didnt want the client's stuff all on account to ensure 100% safety of their items.

    So to hate multibox is to hate the very thing that helped fund you auctions...you gotta let it go Aruna.

    Its getting worse and the symptoms are spreading to many more people.  Its been 30 mins I haven'teven seen 1 person speak in World Chat yet.   This is bad guys  :(

    Is the world chat bug fixed yet? I haven't been logged on in a few days due to it. Wth man :(

    Mean while as for me.. i cant totally login totally . :(  idk  what is going on. everything is failing :(

    If you have a good bandwith, I dont think this will happen. This is just my assumptions. Limit resources might be allocated in hosting uwo. This might due to the profit they can get from this game.

    With frequent dc, chat lagging, I am seeing uwo failing. This might lead to closing down very soon.

    I still hope Papaya can take my suggestion. If they already plan to give up this game, why don't take my suggestion and do it once boldly?

    Give the old players one of their best ship back. Players will not spend because you wipe off the server. Do they even understand what I have told them or can they even accept what I have told them why so?

    CPC, have you ever considered running auctions outside uwo world chat?

    You can post a link to a chat service like Slack, in which people buy and sell while you auction.

    You may also act as an guaranteer when people buy /sell stuff with real money.

    I mean I wouldn't be against it but the problem is players are LAZY and do not want to do anything extra to bid even an outside url  they hate doing it.


    I tried to implement WalkerDePlank website  www.uwomarket.com auction site and all people did was complain about how confusing it was and how it was too much work..

    I may try to use her  site again but I will probably have to offer and charge a service fee to sign up people  to the website for them and place bids and items for them... Yes they are that lazy lol

    I can't really complain too much as laziness of players  is what helps us traders make money lol. Whatever I'll figure it out but it would really help if they fixed this bug or gave an update as to what's taking so long or if it's fixed...

    IMO, they need to replace gameguard with something better or maybe upgrade server because I believe it can not run with 3 or even 2 toons. FYI, I did not have any issues except few red rings while I played solo ,but when I played 2-3 toons, I got dc'd, crashes, and frozen frequently.
