Dang it forums craping out of me mid typing..
BUT WHAT I was gonna say..before it craped it pants..

I've been back for around a weekish.. and I've been having a ball, its tons of fun watching the world grow along side me this time as the first time the world was already fully developed so there was very little room to watch that so thats kinda cool.  Ok moving on, Even re-grinding my skills for me has been fun. Watching the nations race thru permits ect all of that is really fun. to see playing out before my eyes.

If anyone is not having fun, why do they play?

@binkl1965 They don't. If Papaya released the server numbers, you'd have to divide that to about 40% to get the real number of players in the game. Most people play alts and many of them play 3 instead of 2.

The game world and population you see, is really just a facade of brain-dead zombies mindlessly following the main characters, or sitting in the Market 24/7.

The WC you see is really just about a dozen people arguing with each other 90% of the time. In terms of true MMOs with thousands of players, this game is deader than a door nail already. And just likebefore, new players are only going stick around for a few weeks before they realize this and then realize they will never be able to catch up to the runaway economy that's already taken over.

I'm playing every night in a busy and vibrant company. Between 6 and 15 people come on regularly while I'm there, and more later when the US comes home from work.

Most are long-term die hard players. But there are some less experienced players, and a few new newbies.

Yesterday I dug up 6 shipwright's hammers - kept one and gave the others away to friends. I discovered one of our new players was sewing and didn't know about boosts. So I gave him my bamboo broom, went to Benghazi and searched for a new one. I finished my session fishing for tuna off Syracuse, and with the help of my second character cooked-up 1800 tuna-olive steaks.

So @Lerxst what have you done? How many skills have you pushed to R10? How many discoveries have you made? How many seas charted? Have you found St Petersburg? Have you made pies in Dublin? Have you caught a Mediteranean catfish?

It's no wonder your company folded, because you've been constantly negative from day 1. If you wanted to be a company director you should have been in it for the long haul.

You seem to be obsessed with making billions in-game, and becoming 'someone' in the community.

Why not just play the game? There is so much more to it than money.

N.b. I got teir 3 founders rewards and I have NOT USED them yet. And surprise, surprise! I'm really enjoying the game.
