@Culvern Dude, wake up, take that giant blindfold of your face and please stop being happy with a game that is clearly as sad as it ever was. Sure we got to play it again.... But for what? To pointlessly grind all the skills/levels again???? 
  Whoever was responsible for the wipe has now a big arse smile on their face. The amount of money some people put in this game is ridiculous. I am not condemning that, i'm purely stating that, like they wiped gama after all those years with all the cash invested in it, they can easily do that with maris. And why? Because this game is too good not to invest in and get that juicy leverage no poor people will ever have. People will always keep dumping money in uwo, no matter what. Sure I could just play without investing anything.... But it gets pretty frustrating to see players riding cash boats and constantly getting boosted with amulets.
  About Founders Rewards:.... Lul, what a joke. How would those ever compensate for the money us vets dumped in the game after all these years? Give me a break, the rewards are merely a "shut up and keep playing" bribe way of the devs/gms(whoever's in charge) telling us to stay in the game.
  Lastly, the game economy: man this looks like a comedy show. And it goes to show that the cash shop is completely messed up and has gotten out of hand in the last 5 or so years, maybe more. High-end ships with level requirements for newbies? C'mon... God gear and consumables that ain't even obtainable in-game? How low can a game company go just to make money? Pretty dang low i'd say. 
  Anyways, I'll be around to keep track of the degradation of the game and get a good laugh once in a while. Now,critics: fire away.

    @tharsheblows   It would have been cool if at the moment that Gama went down a winner was announced.  I'm sure it would have been me.   I enjoyed playing at my speed, doing whatever the hell I wanted.  Spent a few real life dollars but it's entertainment so instead of going to a movie I might have bought some stuff from the game.   Met more than a few people I consider friends in RL now.  I almost had all of the discoveries available in the world at the time.  Really enjoyed finding and learning about them.  My battle toon enjoyed her little self being a couple colours over that time.  I didn't get the time to be a shipbuilder or a really good trader so there are still things to do in Maris.

    I never for a second felt that spending money in the game was an investment that gave me any sort of ownership.  Am I missing out on some dividends??

    @HelloAll Right, pretty pointless...Lol. I play this fcking game since it came to the west, have more hours in it than any other game i've ever played and you're telling me i hate it? Not only can you not type, you can't read either. My problem is not the game, it's the developers that make the experience shitty and worthless. I don't know how much time you got in this game or if you ever dumped money on it, but clearly you must been enjoying it as it presents right now: total trash. Don't say my life's sad mate, it's clearly become better since i stopped caring about this damned game, i just felt like expressing what i think about it in the forums.

    @LaBonita You play at the rhythm you please, i just enjoy fair battles and the possibility of actually fighting for something i know that can be obtained in game. Some people go adventure, some others trading, but then you go battling and you don't even stand a chance against folks that invested a few hundred bucks in the cash shop... I'd rather P2P!!!! Does that seem fair to you? In any way? If yes, please tell me and I'll shut the fck up for good, really.

    the fact that many people still play the game ..it is because we are happy with playing the game.. not much games nowadays can be compared to what UWO has to offer. EVER!!

    please man if you had enough of the game.. please feel free to leave.. don't encourage people to leave with you.. don't force us to see it your way.. becaus it's never gonna happen..

    You are in the minority mate. Most people have accepted the server restart and got on with playing. And there are many new players too.

    And don't blame Papaya. They are a business, they paid for the game licence, they are entitled to make money.

    If you really love the game like you say, then play it.

    1. we had to grind again, true, 
    2. we lost money true, 
    3. the game is lacking many things we had before true,
    4.  the founders were not a meaningful compensation true, 

    but that is all water of the past by now i am afraid, most of us have taken enjoy the ride while it last attitude because we had 2 choices, keep on or go away, i decided to go on, but i know a few good people who decided to go away and i respect their decision.

    the economy madness was expected, i was called doomsayer for telling you no reset would fix the economy but break it more, and the race to 60 further exacerbated the problem, it is thankfully stabilizing again now.


    All in all your complains seems to boil down to "i can't beat that shiny UWC ship without paying", let me tell 2 things 
    1.  quite a few players can kick pretty much any UWC ship in the seas, since skill was all that really mattered all along and decent modding closes the gap by a lot and anyway.
    2. i personally decided never to pay more money into this game, and i still have one MSSX and a CCC so far without even spending the welfare checks.
     this is a trading game and if you cant picture a way to trade until you have your shiny ship without spending i fear the fault lies in you not in the game.

    I am sorry that I have accepted the reset. I wish I had my old stuff too , but it is gone dude gone!
    No whining and bitching will make it come back.
    I am so sorry that I don't rant nonstop about how dare a company try to make money.

    @thaarsheblows: if it will help you feel better I can email you and include phrases of bitterness and anger.

    I just don't understand what you think you will achieve by the bitter attitude towards papaya. You will not get your old stuff back. Not going to happen.

    I doubt that anyone at papaya has any previous UWO playing experience. So all their decisions they are making are probably blind or limited knowledge decisions.

    I feel sorry for those shoe lickers who got kicked in the face but still pretend to smile. Papaya will not be their friend. It will milk them dry the last dollar before saying

    “Unfortunately the server will have to be wiped again due to a technical difficulty (and shut up hence). Since you survived wipe before, we believe another wipe should be ok. As compensation we give everyone 5x the original founder reward. Thanks for your patronage.”

    Jeeez this is a super douchy post from a super douchebag. This stupid asshole has to come on and write yet another bitching post about how bad the game is now and how the company is ripping everyone off - here's an idea, DON"T PLAY, and get the hell out of the forum. People that like to play the game are getting really tires of all the cucks who have nothing better to do than bitch and moan about a game they say they're done with. if so, THEN GET OUT! And to top it all off, this moron then proceeds to get offended from the blowback that he invited in the original post. What a total asshat loser.

    It is interesting how people like culverin or aceman have the ego to think they represent everyone’s view. And they would vigorously attack anyone who hold different view from them. They told me to save my breath as if they were in some sort of pathetic authority.

    Guess what? I have no problems spending my breath here until either PPP improve themselves and those asslickers face the reckoning and give proper suggestions to improve the game, rather than forcing everyone to accept the shit.

    Maybe one day PPP could hire them as GMs by paying them minimum wage and we could have Coolwind V2.0.

    How have I suggested that I represent anyone else's view?
    I do have my own opinion and I share it. Just because it differs from yours does not make me wrong. I have a different opinion and attitude about the game than you obviously, how is that an Ego problem?
    Please read any of my above posts (which is one) and point out where I indicate how everyone feels? I am curious how you come to that conclusion.
