Multi-Character Control System

The game seems to be designed around multiboxing in order to play a total of 3 characters at once. This not only forces an IP to use up 3 accounts for one person, but also forces players to install a third party program in order to play the game properly.

Instead of that hassle, why not implement a system to control 3 characters of an account at once like in Granado Espada? In that game, the three characters weren't really separate, but in this game each character could be played separately, or duo'd, or trio'd.

If this was implemented, multiboxing could officially be against the rules, but since multiboxing won't be required to play the game solo, the rules about multiple accounts per IPs could be loosened so that families can properly play together.

Players could bring up their side characters as followers and be able to switch between them on the fly since the interface would now be centered around account-specific control rather than character-specific control. When multiple characters are out, the interface will have duplicate windows/lists so all characters' details (that are being used at once) can be seen without needing to switch control.

It would be nice to get a quick Yes or No from the devs on this, since the longer it takes to get an answer the more players that have trained multiple accounts will groan if it ends up Yes (while for now everybody is starting fresh so it's less of an issue to switch to one account rather than 3).

    No.

It would be better if they allowed players to have up to 4 aides that traveled with the player and could each have their own ships. Then make running more then 1 character per IP at a time completely illegal.

The major problem with your suggestion, and the main reason that papaya won't implement it, is it would do away with the need of buying the shared storage permits from the UWC shop which would hurt the income of the game.

And yet players still multibox, because Aides are too limited in their capabilities. The game is supposed to be played with 3 characters + their aides. It was designed that way, which is why multiboxing is allowed. All this does is free up the number of accounts per IP by allowing 3 characters to be controlled at once on the same account; it doesn't change how the game is supposed to be played or how it functions, it just removes the need for a third party program to multi-char, since we're supposed to multi-char.

As for shared storage permits, I already said that the UI would put each character's stuff in their own window. That means 3 inventory windows, not a single combined one. Players would not be able to transfer items between those windows nor would they be able to trade with their own characters; that way, shared storage would still be necessary to move items over.
