The store next door- Elizas Eye (part 2)

There in the corner of my eyes, there stood a man holding a
small, mossy pebble that was lifted to his right ear. He breathed
heavily,  "Oh so these mushrooms are non-poisonous" he spoke.
This town was full of lunatics, so it wasn't uncommon, seeing someone
like that man walking through the streets.

"Hey, Eliza" a voice spoke to me as glass cups were being put on the table. "Really
now, at least pay attention to the end of the story before you check up on Frey."
"Frey is his name?" I said, as Frey himself crossed the street in that hypnotic state
                    without a sense of danger.
"Yeah, its Jeffrey but he likes it if ya call him Frey. Anyways, 'bout dat store called
Priceless, ya hear about the headless saint, in the place of the head theres a skull."
before he could continue I had to agree, or else he would think I'm ignoring him. "
It had me thinking where have I seen such a design before, or what this design could
even mean. Is it a defying religion or an act against it? Could it have more of a symbolic
mean? Or maybe its all of the above and it depicts the story of a ruthless person who
leaves nothing but death behind."  I honestly didn't want to listen to any more so I tried
                      to change topic.
"Our orders here so lets eat quick so we can visit Priceless. Honestly you and your
occult antics, Temur." I quickly grabbed my spoon and ate the food in front of me
so he knew I meant that I wanted to leave. A god of death huh, I remember the words
of my grandfather that very day on a moonless night one year ago.

He was a researcher of lores and most of his works got featured on papers. His name was
Daniel and he was my grandfather. Greyed out hair but still well-built, we had speculated
he would live at least 20 more years from his 80 years of age, but he did suddenly died
on a business trip that we took together. "Hey Eliza, have you heard of the merchant that
sells you your desires? Neither his form or his background exist and none can ever find him,
but the things he leave are more than desires. Ages ago he was nothing but a peddler, selling
random wares like clay plates and pots. He started doing this as a kid and he knew he had a
knack for business. His merchant empire grew and he sold more and more, starting out by
pushing a cart with wares, to then selling products at home, he was a master at selling.
No matter how time progressed he knew how to sell to people, but then his death came.
At the moment of his death he made two wishes. One was that he wanted to live forever, selling
his product, and the second was that he desired-."

That's where my memory broke down. It was an old tale and I was a young girl. We then took
that trip to a town because my grandpa found the merchant. He wanted an interview but after
that, I just can't remember.  Everytime I do, I lose sight in my eyes due to the pain in my head.

Me and Temur finished lunch soon after, and decided to visit Priceless. The sudden shift
in image on the building spooked me at first, while Temur was awe-ing it like an idol, but
for some reason it sparked memories in my head, albeit fuzzy but these images were there.

We opened the door to Priceless, Temur first and then I entered. Contrary to the outside. the
interior gave an ordinary look, which will make anyone feel disappointed, Temur especially.
Out of the storage room came an old man whose whole body was wrinkly, its a surprise
he was doing so much manual labor and looked so healthy. Me and Temur splitted up as
the old man gave a smile and wave at us. Temur was looking at the items, while I decided
to get acquainted with the owner.
"Hello sir, nice to see new business in this part of town. My name is Eliza." I paused, wanting
to hear the old mans name before I continued.
"Oh hello missy, why my name is Lartz, and I run this small establishment. Have a look around
there is something here for everyone." the man said as he looked at Temur and then back at
                    me.
"I am good for now, I don't want to go on a shopping spree just yet. I run a bakery store nearby
and was wondering if you have any allergies or anything since I wanted to bake you a cake
as a welcome present." I gave him my business smile.
"I don't have any allergy, but really you shouldn't bother your-"
"I wont, I really am happy to welcome new people." I cut him short of his sentence
as he looked wearily around. Finally he took a breath and said calmly
"Ok, I guess. If its no bother I guess I will accept it, I don't like to turn down gifts when
its presented me in such a way. Then, allow me to gift you something at the bare
                      minimum."
It felt like he knew I was coming and he knew my interests. He first walked away from the
counter and back to the storage room, then he came back with a kitchen set. All the items
there was what I wanted because it made cooking easier, that much is understandable, but
there was one item that caught my interest the most.
A book called "My lost memories"

Suddenly a wave of pain came rushing in my head and the last thing I saw was Temur
grabbing me and talking to Lartz. Now I am awake in my home with the book near my
                       counter.

Afterwords: The third part and onward will have characters name, that way its easier to shift through the
many characters as well as the page numbers included. Going to have to wait until another
time for the continuation of Elizas Eye. Next part is going to be about Temur.
