First post in the new forums for me and it's a 50/50 question.

I don't wanna debate the fact the server was wiped, I know how I feel about it, and i'm sure you all know how you feel about it.

I would like to discuss if it is worth starting over again.

What I mean is, all ready I can only play for short tidbits of time as I Don't really see a change so far, it seems to me we got a wipe, but nothing really drastic in the core game rules/play to really call for such a wipe.

But I only been playing for a couple of days(and mainly doing the dreaded school quests, that I so Fondly HATE)

so before I hang up my uwo hat, I would like information from all you players who know more than me and allow me to gleam your knowledge in such matters

Thank you all for your responses

Well you are asking on a forum full of people who have stayed.

So we will say continue to play if you enjoy it. And it’s not a race to regain what you had (so many can’t look past that)
Just take your time and enjoy it again, but with the knowledge that you had previously.

Certain ones (we all know who they are) will post on here with doom and gloom and tell you the game will only last 6 months and don’t spend a penny.... but they seem so unhappy all the time, where as those of us that just play the game the way we enjoy...are happy! Come be happy too!!

We lost everything we had. But one thing we all had was everything. Gama was to the point where we all had the best ships and all our skills were maxed. There was really nothing left to do.
Now we all have a purpose again.
I joined the game years ago but the world was already developed even then (6 years back).
So I am really enjoying the redevelopment. Sure some grinds suck. They sucked the first time too.

But overall I am enjoying playing the second time around as much or make than the first time.

A honest opinion from the way I see it.

I personally also struggle to see what has changed but also I have been focused on doing my own thing in the game. You might have seen a few of my videos on youtube.

What I love about this game is that it is not a race to do stuff, you can do things at your own pace, ofcourse what I don't know is if you are a player that wants everything now.

I personally think that if you can only dedicate a few hours a day or week that you will struggle to get anywhere in this game. The game does have a massive grind about it, so much so that towards the last few months on OGP I actually felt I was winning (not that there is a win element in the game ofcourse) in the game after 2 and half or so years put in the game.

I think once you got past the grind up of your skills be it battle adv or trade skills that you should be able to enjoy the game, but getting  them done with a few hours a day will be tough going and will take a while to achieve.

Is it worth it? To many players here they will always say it will be worth it, but it is you who has to sit there at the computer doing all the work, are you willing to get the grind done? is more the question you need to ask yourself.

I came back reluctantly to give it a try again. Worked on the IQs and some national colony development. Trying a different toon set skill set up than before. Now that I am into the new server a couple months I will likely stay around but there just isnt the enthusiasm I had before. Papaya may have saved the game but they are not good at managing this. If i knew at server launch what I know now, I would have went with my first instinct and not come back. There is just not much fun for me in this game beyond getting a comp colony back to where it was now. After that, I will reevaluate my playing and papayas poor management. But as with any game you may find it to your liking. Play a month or so take it one goal at a time.

@HelloAll most of us, theres always at least one KATANA.

the server differences affect some pvp, you can plunder non cash shop items, and deck battle can be forced on red and blue players, the rest is pretty much the same without  our shiny stuff.

    Okay,

I spent 7 years of making progress. Seven years. Now these "businessmen" , decide I am expandable, 'cos of THEIR profits and advantages. Who cares if I feel robbed and deceived. Who says I will enjoy seven more years of the SAME stuff, with in the back of your mind the fact that all your stuff may be thrown overboard. Our time and participation means NOTHING to these creatures of Baal. I say cursed be this company to Kingdom come... .
