WarRock start problems

Hi there,

WarRock veteran from the G1 days here trying to get back into the game but sadly I can't :(

Some information:  I'm using windows vista with a nvidia geforce gt 520 intel core 2 quad cpu Q9300 @2.5GHZ



Whenever I start the client and press start I get a black screen for a bit and then an error pops up which says:

"no hardware-accelerated Direct3D devices were found. Switching to the reference rasterizer, a software device that implements the entire Direct3D feature set, but runs very slowly." 

and then when i click ok the next error pops up

Title of the error pop-up is "DX error" the message says "getdeviceinfo error"

Then when i click ok the next error pops up

title of the third error is "DX error" again and the message says "RDDX9Renderer::CreatebyalreadedDevice" 

Then i click ok and the 4th and final error message pops up

no title, message says "Generic application error. enable debug output for detailed information. this sample will now exit."

Anyone knows what to do?

    Make sure your Direct X is up to date.

    That should be up to date. it says it is when i try to re-install it

    Hello ddmastah0.
    First of all. With all new windows verions, DirectX is updated with Windows Update. So if you have installed all windows updates you have also installed the latest version of DirectX.

    The problem is most likely outdated drivers for your video card. It could also be that you have installed incorrect drivers. WarRock will change your resolution when starting the game. If you have incorrect drivers installed this is not possible and you will receive an error.

    Hi Skateboard, thanks for your reply.

    I assume it isn't as easy as to just.. beforehand change to the right resolution so the game won't have to anymore? What is WarRock's resolution? I've tried to check on the nvidia control panel, but it always says unable to connect to nvidia servers sadly. Not sure what the problem is. Might not be able to play WR on this PC at all :(
