I remember the old days.....
If you remember them... then you know that world chat is the same now that it was 3 years ago....
and 5 years ago..... and 10 years ago..... I remember an old post that was true the day it was written and is just as true today.....

Please cut that crap about this and that being unfair
Life ain't fair, yet you keep on living right?
You keep on fighting, adapting and improving...

How many things about the game can be arguably called unfair ?
It is unfair to have forged gear...
It is unfair that someone brings a 25B ship to the ESF....
It is unfair to have a pirate using a speed boost some new play can't afford...
It is unfair that some have festive large fu ships fleets that haul so much cargo...
It is unfair that some adventure items (boosts) are (were)only available through astros...
It is unfair that you require a second computer to be using all 3 allowed accounts...
It is unfair that this or that item is not trade-able...
It is unfair that you are not resetting the server...
It is unfair that someone gets lucky with the bottle and others don't...
It is unfair that you have a better ship than me...
It is Really Unfair that you got lucky and crited me...
It is REALLY FREAKING unfair for you to be getting so many GS...


In my unfair opinion the game is not trying to achieve some type of egalitarian Utopia.
And the more the publisher tries to accommodate one group that has voiced one set of demands,
the more OGP commissions new sets of complaints and demands. 
And by pleasing some you obviously displease others.(i.e. Nerf Piracy vs Don't Nerf)
Unfortunately it's not possible to please everyone though you can surely Piz-off everyone.

    I wouldn't say WC is the same as it was 3 years ago...1/2 the trolls were banned by then, and now they're back. Go back about 8 years and it's the same.

    funny how you can have a post from gpotato forums dated nov 2006 on for a game that wasn't there until years later. UWO was launched on gama server in 2010,thus was not on gpotato  in 2006

    Also, things like Forged Gear, 25b ships, FLFS and Sailor's Bottles(all mentioned in a "2006 Forum Post") didn't exist in 2006, even on any of the Asian servers. So, total BS.

    I started plating UWO back in 1986 on my Commodore 64. Them were the days!
    Took to hours to load the game. Had to log in over my 300 baud modem.

    Then I would walk to the movie theater 12 mile away and see a silent film that was just releasedbfor only $.25
