    @purplepirate

Spartan gave reason and solution in his first post.

    -  evasion grind

He gave US a reason as to what to do we dont need it we arent Newbies.  What he said is he wont give NEWBIES who join IN game any direction or explanation just farm them until they rage quit and as he stated RIGHT THERE if you come out the only teaching you will get from him is destroying you.  Cant spin a direct quote from him hes being a douche just because people were a douche to him and instead of be better he wants to continue the trend and create more douchebags.

Another problem is people NEVER ever hold maritime responsible for ANYTHING but if its us its omg its traders omg its care bears omg  they brought the nerfs.  However when its crap like what he said above yall make excuses for it you never hold them responsible.  You got one guy lying and saying Saul came up with Sea Battle League Season 1  idea  when he stole it from me and I had to threaten bringing CA  Alianore to come and tell him hes a liar before he finally admitted he jacked the idea and the only reason he said that lie is because Saul is a maritimer didnt even care he jacked the idea.  You spartan saying he will farm newbies in game with no reasoning until they QUIT and you guys all come to his aide.

You guys plays favorites just because they pew pew its not fair HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE TOO. Like I said before you cant blame it ALL on traders and theres a hell of alot we can do as players to help maritime grow on our own without waiting for Koei to make  traders farmable but we cant do that when you guys over look the crap maritimers do to hurt the game but  so quick to blame us traders.

No offense to you Issa but youre playing favorites to Spartan when hes dead wrong for he said in HIS quote above. Im sorry thats facts baby.

It...WOULD BE NICE if one time in my 8 years of playing IF I were to see another maritimer vet hold another maritimer vet accountable instead of making excuses for them.

If only I knew how maritimers are held to a different standard than us sooner man I would have went full maritime a long time ago lol

Think i wrote first post, well maybe its something wrong with me
  • ISSA112ISSA112 Posts: 21Member Beginner
and would be also nice from traders and advers who want to try maritime to ask first what he need to do/grind and what shiop to have before enter something like BC.
if u dont know that someone want to learn something u cant help him too.
so dont blame only maritimers there are both side involved,
i dont know anything about debating but if i want to enter that and play with other advers i would ask FIRST how is it played or what i need to have to be on same lvl, not to jump blindfolded in it.
do u really think someone would ask me what disco cards or ranks or whatever is needed for it i have if i come and join debate?
of corse they would not, why should they, it will be expected that i know
should i be mad blame them on them coz my ignorance?
i usualy dont post much on forum but have nuf of this stupid arguments and non maritimers telling maritimers how they should behave.
    just play your game,
    not like it?
    bon voyage

So if you see someone enter a BC and see him gets taken down over and you see him getting farmed then you wont give him advice. That is a sign that maybe he is new so instead of helping him to learn and grow you maritimers just insult people and then blame it on traders and adventures which is stupid in itself
  • YinYangSpartyYinYangSparty Posts: 50Member Beginner
it is the part time maritimers who do adv/trade mostly that come and expect to be allowed in. I gave the required advice on my very first post. stehrle agreed with me right after that and then issa agree with me. 3 full time maritimers/pvper who all agree. The same information has been repeated for noobs for the past 6 or so years, not just from me but every pvper who cared. But I am the bad guy because I call out those who don't want to put in the work but want to be part of pvp when they are not ready.
  • ISSA112ISSA112 Posts: 21Member Beginner
did i say somewhere that i will not give advice?
do u know how many ppl i helped to learn and be maritimers?
    no u dont

  • YinYangSpartyYinYangSparty Posts: 50Member Beginner
That goes likewise with me, I gave information on the very first post, if people asked me how to grind skills I would tell me. levels are easy enough to get now with battle reports. Once you are high enough skills (you don't need absoluete every skill maxed to do pvp but it helps a lot) you will be able to pvp on a more even setting. Instead of complaining that you aren't allowed into BC you should have been asking why and what you could do instead of complaining on the forums

See what I'm talking about you just said you would ask and tell them the reason but instead of telling a fellow maritimer (Spartan) hey man that's wrong at least tell them the dangers of BC or offer ANY guidance in Game you're over here not speaking out against Spartan saying ignoring newbies in game who happen to wander into BC to meet established maritimers and play or learn with them but instead farm them until they quit no reason given is cool .

Speak out against a fellow maritime if you stay quiet and try to bail him out of his BS just because he maritime too means you're co signing his stance.

So I'll ask you directly Issa do you agree with Spartans approach that I listed in the screenshot above? Is that cool with you?   Lastly will that grow maritime/playerbaer?

Everyone brace yourselves we might actually see a fellow Maritimer hold another maritimer responsible this is a once in a life time event will we see it finally happen??? Lets find out

We dont need your advice in your first post we know about dangers of BC we vets we talking about your comment above stating you will ignore snub and farm newbies in BC In game and won't give ANY advice in game stop hiding from your comment you said it.  What you state here means nothing if you act like that in the game to newbies that dont read the forum. Its you're game you're rules I admit that  but IF You want to do that do that don't even think about blaming traders for ruining PVP when you're doing the same thing acting like thst to next generation of Maritimers like I told you in game by doing that you're no better than carebears.

    @ANY MARITIMER in Game

If you also agree with Spartans screw newbies you're weak and dont deserve any teaching or advice IN GAME approach and more importantly consign or dont speak up about it just because he a maritime to you're also just as guilty as carebears for ruining PVP hold them to the same standard as us STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR THEM. Because if I came into world chat right now and said to someone asking about nanban learn on your own if you dont when I see you I will pay to have someone farm you until you quit y'all would be giving me a baptism by fire right dont lie.  You dont get a seperate code of ethics just because you maritime dont work that way.  As long as you cosign that treatment of newbies cant blame us traders for the problems with maritime  as youre not helping either.

Yes i would say that as Sparty too,
COZ NO ONE READ FIRST POST OF HIM, just att and qoute what they want

    FFS i am out

    going red later, take care

  • ISSA112ISSA112 Posts: 21Member Beginner
damnit, i needed to come back

there u go CPC as you say (u didnt quote anyone) in post above and that is a part u skipping all the time:

    "
Because if I came into world chat right now and said to someone ASKING
about nanban learn on your own if you dont when I see you I will pay to
have someone farm you until you quit y'all would be giving me a baptism
    by fire right dont lie"

so if they dont ask u will not know what they want to know,
     ASKING is a key word
that i mention in a few posts, but no, u all go att Spaty even he posted in first post what ppl need to do.
but well ppl see only that they want to see i guess.

    now out for good

    farwell forum

    good by

We read his first post but he was referring in game so his first post is irrelevant because not all newbies read the forum so "pointing it out“ to me and purple pirate you did tagged us in it btw and ASSUMING we didnt read it comes off as trying to bail him out. If you can point that out that out we can also point he received no criticism for his actions right?

But thank you for saying you'd say it to spartan that its wrong I hope you do in fact do it…

Lastly to whomever if someone saying not to farm newbies with no explanation until they QUIT and asking other Maritimers to hold them accountable pisses people off more than  the guy ACTUALLY doing it then CPC and The Elite Few GLADLY welcome anyone desiring to pirate us for standing up for newbies to do so. It would only prove my point maritimers dont hold other maritimers accountable and they care MORE about shutting up the person looking out for newbies rather look out for newbies themselves.

That would be ULTIMATE Exhibition of selfishness and a terrible example set for the remaining Maritimers of UWO and finally proves which of the classes GENUINELY cares about the players and future of the game and who doesnt…

first off everyone knows that you need to grind skills to really do anything in this game. Stating the obvious isn't really any help to anyone, so i'm going to tell you a story about my experience to prove my point...

I first started doing pvp (esf/bc) events just after the new year of 2017, i had only been playing UWO for 1 year at that point but since i started the game as a trader and only had about 6months experience in maritime by that time i joined my first ESF. When i played my first ESF/mock games, i noticed that it was all pretty much just people with max cannon skills blasting each other but my cannon skills sucked i was only using gunnery/balistics at the time and they weren't anywhere near maxed (let alone refined). However my forte was melee so i didn't really think i needed great cannon skills (big mistake!). During those early days i died ALOT! Mostly from cheesy crit shots from people parking and waiting for me to come out of melee, wow did that ever piss me off >:( but i stuck though it and kept trying.
What changed was that other vets started teaching me advance battle tactics, like how to manouver in battle better as well as how to escape those rear crit shots when coming out of melee, and how to target opponents more efficiently. Over time i practiced those tactics that i learned (from VETS) and became a lot better with a much higher survivability rate. I became so good over time from what i learned, that i was able to enter battles with my MSF (195crew) and go against ROG/COG's (379crew) and win battles! I became such a meleer that i actually changed the format of ESF/BC events where people stopped using cannon ships and shifted over to melee ships spacifically to look for me on the waters to test out their skills against me... And believe me I didn't disappoint! Eventually i became a BH, but found pirates would run from me because they knew they couldn't take me in melee. I could even hold my own against some of the top players in the game :)
This is not bragging, this is a result from learned tactics that vetrans taught me, not from just learning though 'trial and error' on my own. So i think the real point here is that, YES the pvp world is suffering right now but we can build it back if we work together and encourage people to do more maritime instead of chasing away potential players who have an intrest in learning something new. I want to see maritime flourish again and am willing to do my part to make it happen. If not then all of you better get use to having ESF events with only like 15-20 people total! Not much of an 'Epic' war there lol...
Maris has only been up for 3 months now, you can't expect everyone to have gone full maritime grind, so as a result of course pvp doesn't have a huge player base for now. But it won't get any better if people discourage new players instead of building up the player numbers from farming them. This isn't rocket science people, ok so you're done grinding your skills now what? Are you just gonna sail around being the only person in the game with useless skills because there's nobody else to fight or are you going to use your time now to build up players so that we can have those large scale events again? If you don't want to help others with your experience then fine, go play by yourself but don't complain about it. I for one want large groups again for both the challange and for for excitement that there will always be people out there to play with.

The evidence is all here to say and totally proves my point.

NEXT TIME RUN AN EVENT THAT ALL CAN TAKE PART.
NOT JUST AN EVENT FOR A FAVORITE CLIQUE.

Battle campaign isn't for everyone, now stop being a child with you stupid demands
  • CulvernCulvern Posts: 646Member Intermediate
Obviously they cannot run events that satisfy everyones abilities all at once. It does seem that they have events for each class. So of course BC is for maritime players.
Just like races are for adventure or investment feuds are trade.

Perhaps constructive suggestions would be better than complaining about an event. Who knows perhaps they listen.

Spartan you the one acting like a selfish child wanting people to rage quit.
    You said your self.

Then you wonder why no one answers you in world Chat, when you ask for people to come play Battle Campaign

Having a event that all can take part is not a childish demand. It is a fair demand that takes in account of all the different players in the server with out an undue focus on one group.

The evidence is all here to see.

IT was not a good event

Culvern I do not think they are listening to the community, I do not think they really care all all about the community,

The server wipe proved that. The server shutdown proved that, the way they hid it from us proved that.

    No one will forget that.
