Returning player- questions about new UWO

Hello, I was wondering if they had changed any of them systems that were intact in GP's UWO when it was taken offline. 

Has PVP been reverted to something meaningful? Is it the same as it was when GP went under? 
I've browsed the forums a little and read maybe that they brought back deck battle. Is this true? 
If we can transfer our old characters over, does that mean we keep our old skill levels? What about ships and gear?

    The transfer means you just get some 'Founders Rewards' based on the levels of your old characters. Nothing else is transferred -no ships or equipment. You start again from scrstch with new toons.

    you can force deck battle on red/blue players.

    plunder is back in reduced form.

    BC is in OGP last form which is actually good.

    Turtles now have chance to be melee.

    IH is chance based now.

    and you have to start from 0, that's pretty much it.
