@HelloAll I think I like the clermont mostly for it's cargo capacity, I can now haul stuff without having to worry about cargo space, therefore equally in turn I guess helps with the trade skills and profits.
Oh don't forget the whistle Fun sailing along and blowing the whistle, shame it limited to only fleet can hear it though
the Clermont is very good for an alt or an aide alt it will not be good for the fleet leader since the speed drop if you have no fuel or if you aide has the bost with out fuel you lost speed best way i to keep the fleet leader with out this boat
Don't forget fairly low levels req'ed to sail too. About version of Clermont in cash shop, it probably will come out. Hanryang has video that showed NC steam ship.
@HawthorneAs an aide ship, yes. For alts, it seems pretty solid although
wait, i also thought aid ships don't affect your speed. Is this true for all ships then? If so why would anyone then make aid ships for cargo then if they just gonna slow you down?
That speed restriction only applies to the Clermont. All other ships are unaffected. I guess it's too much to have a low level easy-to-get non-UWC ship with 1500 cargo out there without some sort of string attached. :/
Go to your nation's industrial port factory and talk to steam engineer. Then go to shipyard master in Lubeck, back to steam engineer, go to Franklin in Boston, back to steam engineer again. At end of conversation you can use the ship.
This aide will slow down the fleet thing, if I equip this ship to my alt's aide, and I(without clermont) pull em around, will steam boat slow down my speed?
Adding improves is the same as regular ships. Go to sy2 or sy3 at colony, bring 1 ssip for each add. Note: level requirements go up by 5 each of 2 adds.
Have you tested the speed of this ship yet like full sails with fuel EA and steam engine. Like on gvonavi how fast can this baby REALLY moooove. How many knots? Oh and does headwinds affect it?
The answer to this question will really determine if I buy one or not and if it finally dethrones the LMS as the best ship to do nanban in… lol
Not yet. Mine are only 2/2 atm so not full sail, and no e/a on them. But I see that accel is off the charts! They seem to move quite well but 4/4 might not be enough for max sail and decent wave. I will fleet with a go-nav user soon and see what's up. :)
Also did the get the Master of steam 3x quest done ,now with industrial revolution + the title fuel/coal is down to 2 per min (still alot for long travels) , also no industrial revolution the fuel/coal use is 12 (no master of steam at that test)
seems also limited to 1 stack of fuel , cant seem to store more then 200 ?
CrzyPsycoChick Also it seems pretty much lms is the king of lead ship yet , working on myself but due to most sails beeing sold-not in stock around it will take awhile :p
London, Lisbon adventure:steamship survey report * The title of "Master of Steam" is achieved by three above queries.Improvement in fuel economy of steamboat.
From the jap wiki they are from London and Lisbon.
all 3 quest only show if u are in a steamship & and cant switch ships till u turn in the quest or its a auto fail.
the adv one is starting in one of the 2 towns and getting to Boston deadline 30 days
trade 100 pigs to Santo Domingo deadline 30 days
have yet to do the battle so other thin its fighting and from the 2 cities listed above i have no real info on how easy or hard it is
they so need to nerf this ship. all you see now a days is one good trade ship towing two steam ships. just have to look around London and Saville, around the trade markets and see how many now are selling trade goods to know they way over powered. at least make it were all ships in a fleet need to carry coal are it will slow down the hole fleet and the more ships that run out of coal the more it slows down your fleet.

that's dumb, so you can only tell your own fleet to 'get out of the way!' ?
XD
