Error on update.

it says:

"an error has occurred during the preparation of update. Aborted update (105:3)"

anyone has this issue?

i have turn the antivirus off and turn off my firewall too.. still the same problem...

Try to delete update folder and try again

Or

Uninstall the game and delete any left over folders and try to install if that don't work open a ticket

i tried that, uninstall and reinstall still the same. update error still ... :(

and it only update 1.53MB ?! after that error message :(

No, it's more than 1.53 MB. You need to click on UWO to open again after you get 1st update.

i re-download the installer ... still the same... i give up.. if i still don't get any reply maybe its time to move on... LyonesseJoseph its been nice playing with you. see you next time.... tell ruthy ty and see again soon.. until its fix or the support help me.. i really tried everything. ill try 1 more time reinstall my windows10 then install the game gain ... if still the same. ill just move on... Tnx everybody for helping.

Maybe its your Internet can you try to tether your phone and install or try to installing from someone else house

Or

Try a system restore on windows before when you first tried to update the patch that usually helps

Or

Factory reset your pc

Or

Uninstall AV and Fw not just turn off

Or

Submit a ticket with that error code and. They can know whats wrong and tell you what the error code mean and how to fix

i give up, still not working, i submitted a ticket 3 days now still the same no reply... i better move on... I look like a fool waiting and waiting for papaya tech support for a reply.. seems like they just don't care...

Not sure if this will work in your case, but it doesn't hurt to try.

I had issues running UWO because of my Avast anti-virus not cooperating with it. I found that simply disabling Avast wasn't enough. I had to go to Settings at the bottom left corner, then General, then clicked on Exclusion and added C:\Program Files (x86)\Papaya Play\* (I use Windows 7 so im not sure if will be different for Windows 10). Whoa and behold, it worked and got UWO working. Try poking around the settings in your anti-virus and firewall to see if there's an Exclusion/Exceptions list and add C:\Program Files (x86)\Papaya Play\* to there.

Hmm that could work.

If not, I just suggest that you need to pm at helpdesk about 105:3 error. And I hope Walker will be able to answer your problem soon if CPC's recall is correct.

i found the problem, its a win10 issue and some more stuff, what i did is downgrade to win7 reinstall the game...and it works..

i use windows 7 and have never had any problems, except when they had that firefox issue. When using older games like this, older versions of windows are quite often have less issues. My dad still tells me that win 98 was the best version microsoft ever released. lol

One thing I've noticed with Win 10 is if your comp came with it you're usually ok but if you updated to it you get a lot more grief from game updates, and that yes, Win 7 is the answer. Supposedly Win 11 is based on Win 7, which was based on Win XP, which were by far the 2 most stable operating systems Microsoft has put out. Fingers and toes crossed.
