Wow, this is not good. I hope it gets fixed soon, In the meantime, as some of you pirates say, try another style of play. Go do some nanban or run some dungeon to make some $$, or go make some discoveries. Or keep pirating just for the notoriety. There's always something to do. Sitting around asking for charity is demeaning.

It's no more charitable than handing plunderables back. Glad to do it. UWO runs on all 3 categories: Adventurers, Traders, and Maritimers (which include necessary pirates). A team of sorts.
Hmmm, there are a few reds/oranges I'd tow to Ambon or Nagasaki to load up on spice or EA to make a few ducats, no problem. Or run dungeon with. Actually, that would work both ways since my battle level(s) are low and they'd be helping me. Or if they wanted to do some Adventure maps/quest, I could help with that. Now, I don't consider the returning what was forcibly taken from me as "charitable" so much as good manners and common decency, but I do see your point, they don't have to give anything back. Those that do I'm inclined to work with and help, those who don't....not so much. The thing I wonder is, how much of any given pirate's income is actually derived from Item Plunder? And HA? Sorry, I missed the sarcastic intent of your first post, and glad to hear you're not a charity case. If I can help, let me know.

I started pirating in gama not long after they nerfed it and took item pmunder away. No way you can support yourself as a pirate that way. Even with item plunder I doubt a pirate could sustain themselves unless they got real lucky often.
Just an update about the PvP item plunder situation: When I spoke to GM a few days ago, he gave an ETA about a fix of 1-2 weeks. It seems regular (NPC) plunder is working fine.
After hearing reports of item plunder problems, GM investigated, confirmed that there was an issue and sent in request for a priority fix to the problem.
Did they give an update on the invincibility time after being attacked being adjusted too it seems they forgot to alter this when the server reopened and I actually think this is the one point both traders and pirates agree 24 hours is WAY too long.
Im sure they will just find something else to whine about ofc but a 24 hour invincibility timer adjustment would be a huge step in the right direction… any word on that?
@cpc your statement starts out reasonable but you can't just leave it without trying to start trouble by taking jabs at people..... Not helpful to the community.
Actually I wasn't trying to take a jab at anyone if I was id call them out by NAME directly and I'd be way more nasty . It was a comment meaning we(playerbase) aren't ever satisfied trader or maritimer and that even if papaya did change it somebody will always complain and not be thankful for the change but just because they wont be thankful doesn't mean they shouldn't do the change and to still consider doing it. Thats all if you took it for more then I don't know what to tell you brother.
Listen its Valentine's Day Im calling a Valentine's Day Truce. I aint trying to fight with no Maritimers , traders today… these my plans for the day
Im trying get a edible arrangement chocolate covered pineapples, ya know maybe a lil lobster and shrimp candlelight dinner , maybe some R&B you know something smoooooth relaxing a bubble bath with the rose petals… followed by a lot of high intensity Cardio and gymnastics ;)
Im tryna go crazy lol. I aint worried no game beef today lol all that can resume on 2/15. But on 2/14 I got… other plans ;)
This new publisher Papaya Play has again and again proved their incompetency on operating UWO.
I am very sad to watch uwo such an epic game dying with them.
They show no respect to players. They do not care whether the game works properly. I urge everyone to think twice before spending money on this worthless piece of ... u know.

just like your cannon firing, your statement has missed it's mark! This was a Koei issue from the last patch, not a papaya mistake :p
This is like a murder said he was not guilty because the gun designed for killing is provided by a legitimate gun-shop.
Koei provided the buggy patch, sure. But shouldnt Papaya at least test it thoroughly. Cant they at least undo the patch for now until they fix the issue?
You don't know if it can be rolled back or not imagine you just spent 8 hours a day doing nanban only to see whoops we screwed up gotta roll back and revert all your progress youd be pissed so I don't think that will do. Not to mention how many installation issues we had with this very patch roll back I advise against it.
Seems Koei gave the same patch as another version without all the tweaks to piracy that papaya specifically asked for just to make things better for maritime. This game is absolutely MASSIVE Probably the largest game content wise in the world... It is IMPOSSIBLE to check everything before release realistically they can only really test compatibility issues installing and the new things listed in the patch notes from Koei but testing EVERY single facet of the game before each patch would likely take upwards of up to 6 months per patch OUCH.
I Say Yes the bug is bad and Papaya must put fixing it and the 24 hour protection bug but the community is being unfair and putting extremely unrealistic expectations on them as a publisher. Not to mention we never give them props for ANYTHING they do in fact do right its not fair. Be patient and wait for the fix and if they announced its coming then believe them.

You are right, can't make every happy because they always want more.
