Nanban Question

I started doing Nanban runs a couple weeks ago and quickly maxed out cultural points for Japan and was steadily receiving gifts every now and then from Edo.  I expanded out to the other territories and managed to max all the others (taiwan,china, and korea) cultural points.  I have yet to receive a gift from Any of them in roughly the last 50 or nanban trades.  I was told its a 10% chance so I suppose its very possible that I just have terrible luck.  The people in my company have thrown several ideas (dealing with capital city, not receiving negative points), but neither of those scenarios are the cause.

The only anomaly I can think of is I was doing back to back nanban for nanban goods over and over like 20 times each run and I am using NPC (want fortune maker) so Im ok with the loss to get all max cultrual points.

Anyone have similar issues or can offer any advice?

    You may try the fish strategy. Every time you submit in 50 fish and try triggering the summon event. If food backstock is low it wont cause any problems. You just need to port hop or reset to be able to submit other 50 fish. It will help if you run a multi fleet.

    Thanks Ill give it a try.  I was going to try and complete the EA MA's but about half way through the Japan MA i stopped receiving gifts.  It almost feels like a bug or perhaps a weekly gift limit.  Problem is I cant remember when I last received a gift to see if it coincides with the last patch or not.  A
