Clarification of Ambush skill for aide

General Discussion
Since Gama server, the "ambush" skill for aide is very misleading and confusing. Until now there is no clear answer for it.

Based on the skill description and from what i experienced, it give disorder when i initial attack to npc fleet.

but there are arguments saying that this aide " ambush skill" will also increase the drop rate of rare items from NPC fleet whenever there is successful plundering. 

So i here by wish any officials can give us the clear answer about the true effects of this skill...

    I do rare plunder quite often and I had this skill on GAMA and personally did not see any difference with rare plunder chances.  What realy does work however is having a Plunder ex.  Just my opinion.

    I have no experience with the skill, but will backup WSP on the plunder ex.
    I have tried rare item with and without the EX and it makes a big difference.

    It gives +25% to 50% chance of triggering rare item plunder event. Depending on what you are plundering, some item plunder rate can be as low as 1%, with oxford skill it turns into 2%, and with plunder sword, it gives a very hefty buff. And ambush’s buff multiplies on top of that.

    The idea is you ambush npc once and never let it go within 10 minutes. You will put an alt fleet leader in port, your main attack as the admiral, your another alt on a different computer to carry max water and melee defeat to npc before dc (that’s why you need a different computer). This way npc never runs out of water and you can farm them as long as their true crew loss last.
