Clermont is the ultimate fishing ship

I've noticed that the immense cargo holding Clermont is a mighty slow ship when you sail without the super expensive fuel that runs out so fast. In fact, it's so slow that it makes an excellent fishing vessel when hopping from port to port on autosail with one of your alts sailing it. Since it takes 20 minutes to go from Seville to Faro, you can really pick up a lot of fish in that time and autosail lets you run errands between ports instead of just sitting somewhere while you're fishing. Sometimes you can turn drawbacks into useful quirks, as seems to be the case here. I've been doing some spice runs with my alt in the Clermont while I do battle reports with my main, and it takes a few days to complete a full run, but when you add the fishing, storage skill grind from processing fish and the adventure points you get from sailing so many days, it's an interesting process.

My cooking alt has one with a fishing net for an OSP.  Coupled with the Fisher-exclusive Boston skill, you get some mighty good yields just traveling around.
