Maintenance Downtimes

When we have maintenance downtime our timed items (ie no war flags, skill/exp/fame boosts, veils, etc) really should be extended for the duration of said downtime.  Last week was especially brutal since we had a new ticket and a new patch we lost 5 hours on our items.

    most maintenance is announced well in advance so intelligent people know enough not to use boosters heading into those times.

    @Nadesico I find it funny that the items you are worried about loosing time are are all NANBAN RUNNING related. Maybe you should actually try playing another aspect of the game where you don't need to rely on those items so much. After all this game is called 'Uncharted Waters' not 'Nanban Runners'. Sorry i have no sympathy for a few hours lost when you can make more then enough to afford a little down time from nanban running. Next you'll start complaining that you loose item time on your nanban runs because you have to sleep for 8 hours everynight and can't play!

    he have not talk about nanban at all speed bonus exp bonus skill bonus fame bonus and blue flag are not only for nanban. EXP SKILL FAME and speed are use by everyone dont cry agains nanban because those item are for everything in the game not only nanban

    @CaptainQC as a matter of fact every item he mentioned IS a nanban item...

    1st item: no war flags... i don't even have to explain this one
    2nd item: skill item... you grind sail/rowing skills/caution/collection/fishing etc on the journey
    3rd item: exp item... as a trader you get MASSIVE xp from selling bulk nanban goods, and with a boost? well nuff said!
    4th item: fame item... to gain fame properly you would be selling batches of nanban goods for max amount
    5th item: veils... to make sure no sea events would tamper with your goods being brought back, thus maximizing your return

    your are true in some way but all those item can be use for a LOT of more stuff . skilll item can be use by any maritimer or ADV to grind skill like canon or archeo exp item can be use by maritimers wen farm battle report or by ADV for cortographi or any quest FAME item can be use for the same reason. veils can be use by pirate to for avoid any bad statu or storm wen purchase trader. THIS GAME IS NOT ONLY ABOUT NANBAN

    That’s where you are wrong...all this game is now is NANBAN lol.

    I don’t nanban and I have used all the above items. I think it’s a fair shout.

    If we use a 24hour/7day/15day/30day consumable and then we sleep or go out or decide not to log in, we lose time and also waste money I guess, but it’s what we choose.

    When the provider does mentainance it would be nice if they stopped the clock on it. But I wouldn’t expect it, and for me it’s no biggie.
