Why are EA wares worth so much?

What's the reason a single Gumo Ink can be worth 60k+ because it's so unrealistic.
When I look at the SY for ship prices they seem fair, so I doubt anyone has a realistic answer for this but why aren't prices across the game not normalized to the prices for trading wares.

I don't say we should nerf them, because in the end it doesn't matter if they get nerfed, just curious why Koei made the decision to make those prices completely out of whack compared to other stuff you can buy from NPCs in the world.

Yeah but those prices are being fueled by EA wares.
If you drop the value of EA wares with 80% the whole player market will drop with 80%

Again not saying it needs a nerf

nanban money funds a lot of things such as investments to develope ports, colony building,etc...

You'd have to drop the prices across the board if you dropped Nanban. If Nanban plummeted people would do SEA, if that went bye-bye, they'd do either South America and India, etc etc.

Nanban was just a continuation of the prices from India from when the game launched. At launch, we started with 50k gold so it took a long time to improve the ports enough to get to better ships. Even then, we couldn't improve the ships, so the ships were sloooooooooooooow. Also, during those days, the speed boosts that we could get, were single player only, and didn't effect the fleet, so again, sloooooow.

If India didn't offer decent returns at that time, no one would do it. There's probably a couple here who remembers it, pre-suez canal, pre-ship improvements, doing India fleets in BTC's, taking 3 hours one way per trip.

Everything after that, was built on that foundation.

I like the idea of speed boost not working on a whole fleet. Would make those doing nanban with a bunch of Clermont have to spend some if their massive profits on the earning of those profits.
Or they will be slow and easy for me to catch. :)
