Run speed

What affects run speed? I was walking in Seville and someone else of the exact same body type, in the same clothes (student clothes, boots, and gloves) goes running past me. He didn't know why either, running almost twice as fast as I was. Can anyone explain?

The overcrowding in Seville is not something the game likes very much. They really should add a global market board so everyone trying to sell stuff can get off the street.

It's an item in the shop called Feathered Sandals. I just saw it. Costs 880 UWC.

It's also possible what you're noticing is an illusion of sorts. When I got tired of other toons running behind me, through me and ending up ahead I tested it with a couple people who said they see me doing the same to them. So they appeared to be faster but to them, I was faster.

I suppose it's like when you have to stop to click and go into a location yet see other players who seem to run close and disappear inside before they reach the location, or when you're standing up and log out - only you see your character kneel while we all see you standing until you disappear.

Only it wasn't X2 the speed.

@Veclord The ones in the uwc shop give skills. We also got a pair of speed boots with our founders rewards back when the server opened, but those ones don't give skill just land speed bonus.

The skill Marching will cause you to move faster as well as several items that can be worn.

As far as I know the feathered sandals only work when you leave town to go to land battle areas, speed in towns does not change. I had no idea about the marching skill though.
May the winds blow you well

The only thing I can think of since speed boosts do not work in towns is your internet speed/lag.

I play UWO on same screen as my alt and sometimes I see my alt leading on that window whilst on main window my alt is behind.

Chances are it just internet speed/lag issues as speed boosts don't work in towns (to my knowledge, not sure if ornements speed work for towns though)
