I want pirates will be refused to stole ship parts again.

When pirates were able to stole some cargo so it was somehow acceptable but now when they are able to stole some ship parts it is very bad again. People are investing very much real money to buy some extra sails cannons, and so on and now they should suffer by group of spineless players which are glad if they can harm anybody? It will only lead to situation that some people will stop to play this game completely or others will stop to buy some NC parts from UWC shop which will reduce profits of papaya server. I appeal strongly refuse this stoling ship parts again because it won't bring anything good for most players.

Congratulations to whoever pirate plundered this guy.

You're bringing some life to uwo. Going to join piracy soon!

Rather then throwing a fit about having your stuff plundered (wont do any good other then making you look bad), take it as a hard lesson to minimize your odds of getting plundered again.

    - Rank your storage skill up. The higher it is, the less likely your get your stuff plundered. Get it to at least R10 though if your willing to go the extra mile, get it to R15, refine it, and do it again to get the +2 bonus.

    - Dont carry stuff you really hate to lose. Thats what the bank vault and shared storage are for!

    - Take unusual routes and avoid choke points whenever possible. These tend to be spider web traps that pirates like to use. Most common traps are the island chains around Las Palmas/Cabo Verde and the narrow passages north and south of Jarkata

    - If you ask nicely, some pirates MIGHT agree to give your stuff back. Doesn't always work, but it doesn't hurt to try, especially if your a good sport about it.

According to the plunder list, most NC parts are not plunderable less the founders reward items.

Next time be a champ and ask for the item back

As carssman has said uwc items are NOT plunderable. If you are talking about cannons that you used forge tools on to improve that's different. However unless you are doing pvp, there is NO reason to use forge tools on cannons as there's no npc's in the game that high damage cannons are needed. If you ARE a pvp person than this whole thread is a complete waste of time...

Well his argument is that people are investing real money into the these sails and items and now people will quit.

So I’m guessing he hasn’t invested any real money because then he would realise those NC sails are not plunderable.

I don’t know why people seem to think pirates are these horrible people in real life, when all the pirates know it’s the BH that are horrible in real life :p

@HelloAll especially considering this game is set in "the golden age of piracy" lol

Culvern ... no one likes to be plundered, but it is a function of the game. It has happened to me, and I find it exciting and makes me laugh. After all its only pixels. Real money items cannot be plundered, so no worries there.

Like  BlakeC mentioned above, there are many ways to avoid it. In almost 8 years of playing, I have only been plundered 2 times. Because I play smart and know how to avoid possible situations. Also, you can make buy/make Tributes for pirates to also avoid this situation.

The other option is to blue flag.

Like others said, no one likes to be pirated but it's part of the game, just have to move on and learn from it and maybe seek revenge one day?

    Whoa whoa whoa!
Let's forget all this talk about seeking revenge!
I mean even pirates have families they need to feed.

So, part of this game is to learn how to avoid such attacks and losses, if you're not the one inflicting them (or hunting those who do). The item plunder thing is really pretty minor in my opinion, as it's highly restricted to non-UWC items and a lot of checks/balances are in place to prevent large scale losses. Really there's very few things of value that pirates can take, save maybe some transmutation alchemy equipment, and GM has been constantly working on a list of those items which are not safe from plunder.

To evade pirate attacks, you've got the following tools available at your disposal:
    1) Simply log out before a pirate attacks you (in my opinion, this is kinda cheap and not in the spirit of the game, so I don't recommend it)
    2) Get heavy bombing skill (most non-rowers can get it as an OSP) and some high range normal shot guns (for example, high perriers). You'll need to carry a few munitions. Pop the heavy bombing skill (which slows enemy ships dramatically) and fire at the enemy. After you've hit him, simply sail out of the ring. This can be done with only a single cannon, if need be. Using this trick I've evaded dozens of pirates, sometimes even in groups of 3 or more.
    3) Blue flags are always an option.
    4) Get some PvP tributes. Important to remember that these DO NOT work in lawless waters, and also that they give half of the money on your person to the pirate instead of allowing him to plunder you. If you don't have or can't afford these, I have some I will give you.
    5) Sail with an armed escort, or sail while packing heat yourself XD
    6) Simply outrun them. If you're fast enough, you really shouldn't have any problems outrunning MOST pirates, with exception of those with high row/speed ships from a dead stop (e.g., port campers).
    7) If you're being port camped, remember that you can use Tow/Logout, liners, and SSBTs to get free. You can also call in the cavalry, that is, request friends come and back you up.

Posting to the forums is really not going to solve anything, though, so I would recommend to just learn to deal with the problem rather than posting about it here. Cheers,

Not to mention the game  is way easier now than it was before you can now get blue flags and fine tribs from boxes and tickets IN GAME. Before that fine tribs used to sell for 5 to 7mil each now its only 1 to 2 mil each thats absolutely nothing! Blue flags 50mil now wtf! Used to be 100mil

Game is super easy mode theres no reason to get pirated unless they do dirty tricks like kamikaze or overlapping or trojan horse fleeting or login screen piracy. Unless they do that im sorry no excuse to get pirated…

In case you can't tell I really dont like certain items given in ticket and in the boxes in game they really hurt player activity.

@Culvern I can dream of revenge can't I? Probably won't ever happen but I can dream.

@caddy. Stop telling everyone how to be safe! You will put us helpless pirates in the unemployment line.

The best way to REALLY avoid pirates is to sail in slow ships that are loaded with goods. No flags.
AFK is best. Stay close to the coast and take direct lines from ports..... be safe out there!
