  No. Buying a permanent item simply means that you are allowed to have the item at your inventory as long as the game existst or a publisher decides that permanent guns should have a limited availability.
  If you want to use the gun you will have to buy the 8th slot item or a package containing it each month anew.
  
  permanent 5th and 8th slot items always require an additional monthly payment!

  @Nuffi - Not Always. "Default" Retails like the once you got from G1 or Nexon in 8slot (m60 or p90 for example) doesnt require the 8 slot as PXItem.

  For Non-G1 (and certain NX) weapons, you will need to buy 8th_slot

  i never ever understood this...
  
  i have two accounts from G1
  
  One is original AIAW retail , and my 8th slot item is missing ( meaning, my 8slot is LOCKED)
  other is original M249 retail, my 8th slot item is there (permanent) , meaning ( my slot is unlocked)
  
  never understood why the majority of the users with retails from g1 ( i mean retails, not those permanents weapons that people call "retails") have the 8th slot unlocked, and some few accounts have it locked...

  i cant blame papaya for this, Nexon was the one to blame, since every single account with an original G1 retail, should have the 8th slot PX permanent
