Special Hull Effects

There's that button at SY master, "Set Special Hull Effect". Can anybody please explain that? Is it the thing that makes some ships shine with colored auras? Does that give any other effect except visual? How do I get these, I think someone mentioned quests? Is there a place to read about these? I can't find anything... Also before the wipe I saw someone shooting blue cannonballs, how many surprises like these are there?

    The colored auras are from using item like"Breath of Spirit" which extend skill duration at sea and last for 15days. As far as I know "Set Special Hull Effect" got no function at the moment for Maris Server.

    Breath of spirit give green color. there are other type that give other special effect. i got my from colony ticket

    That feature is used to install a permanent auras to the ship. 
    It just wasnt sold in cash shop yet.
