about transfer

Hi all
i want to play this game again, but i only played it with the old devs, and yeah obviously now i lost all my items..
Now my question is, with the transfer is it right i wouldnt have gotten my ships anyway ? ( i had a VERY highspeed clipper) and i must have all and all spent like 200-300 euros on the OGplanet version of the game, is there ANY way to get something back from that or is that REALLY gone ?
ive heard here and there that the only things that would have gotten transferred are medallions, some usables and such, while i even had a stash full of them, it wouldnt be a biggie.... but....
to get totally honest, im wondering if its still fun to start out now with nothing at all, or if it would be a total annoyance, since i was used to so many "highend stuff"... and with getting nothing for my bought pixels, im hesitating if its even fun to start out again.
im kinda worried baout getting annoyed by the stuff other people did get transferred and what im missing. what do you guys think ? will that happen you think ? or you think i will have fun again, since im REALLY disgruntled i lost all my payed for pixels now( yeah i know, theyre pixels never expect them to last, but still i lost the ridiculous small transfer window, thats the real gripe i have with it)

My toon is better than the one I used to have as my understanding of the game is higher.
If you enjoyed the game before some mindless grinding should not be too much of a burden so you can enjoy it again.
