Yes, bravo you have indeed manage to change the server rules and now it gives such cool events as ''player farming events,'' yees! Now the entire server have to thank for this blessing of ''player farming events,'' to RE, Spookles,..and other 65 who have vote for server changes. Grats, now happy farming of players event.
Oh boy here goes the complaining already. I must agree though that there will be those that create alts to 'game' the system...... you know, just like the traders have been doing with nanban for YEARS!
''Complaining,''...hmm, people who get farmed now, or their gameplay gets significantly more difficult in unsafe waters,..can send thx and love to spookles, entire RE, Culvern, purplepirate,..there gives many vocal and loud pirates here,...Especially for new players. I'm 100% sure this is their dream event, what they have hope for! Finally everyone can get farmed and pirates will get a very nice fashion,..for reward. Good job!!!!
Truth be told, I did agree with Naver's idea about changing the 24 hour rule mainly because it was bugged code that needed to be fixed, however I didn't sign his petition mainly because I didn't agree with the 'format' that he presented it in. This is why i came out with the counter thread "Proposal for a balanced game system" which would address fair play for all player types based around that rule change.
I have an event for you... FARM viennas until he rage quits! I can't because i'm blue, but I'm so sick of listening to his ignorant complaints or the fact that his is so clueless that he doesn't even realize that this is a HISTORICAL GAME, that is set covering "The golden age of Piracy". He obviously has no clue about real history as he probably only gets his knowledge of this time period from watching the "Walt Disney" movies about it lol.
Where do you keep getting the idea away from about pirates farming people!?
Have you ever even been attacked? I don't know your IGN and I'm pretty sure I've never seen a Viennas in game.
A trader or adventurer gets a one hour cooldown, in that 1 hour a trader or adventurer can get his deed done and be gone from that sea, if that trader or adventurer decides to come back for another nanban trip or adventuring map then they have the chance of being attacked again. That is only fair, why would a trader or adventurer be able to repeat a certain task aka nanban but a pirate cannot attack that trader again? Why should those classes be able to repeat a task but us pirates can't?
Just because you don't like pirates? Just because we are the minority so we shouldn't get any attention?
I generally have respect for every player in this game, unless they do something game breaking (imo) or are intervening in a conversation while being completely oblivous about what's going on.
So how does this work now, do I need to be having my alts attacking each other? Or just one attacking the others? Not sure about this new procedure, but if someone could get me up to speed I will appreciate it.
imo there should not be any time at all.We do have things in game to counter pirates there called tribs. The green flag alone is more thin enouth time to get out after being hit.
Imo it would be a win win .Pirates get to hit more people and crafters get to sell more tribs .Because no war pacts have jumped up to around a overly greedy 100m e.
Wile im happy to see event like this .The only down fall is that some log in and out to hit other wile having no risk of being hit there self. U want to use a spoter alt fine but your main should have to be loged in as well.
Thats my only real beef with this kind of event people will abuse it in a way where there no risk.wile the ones who play it the way it was ment suffer .
Honestly this is exactly what the game needed DANGER EXCITEMENT MOTIVATION. Without these things due to over nerfing of piracy this game was a SNOOZE FEST not just for pirates but traders too what good is a game where there is a 100% chance you will make it to nanban.
Also to Traders come on.. just because you're traders dont mean you just have to lay on your stomach perk your butt up in the air and beg for pirates to please be gentle daddy. Hell no you can fight back post bounties ask company members to join trips nanban with you use all that cash to do maritime or snitch on Pirates hey so and so is here wage war with pirate companies. THAT is the object of the game have fun with the conflict and if you don't like conflict buy tribs its easy.
The noto amount I dont really like for this event as it can be easily manipulated with alt farming I think it should be noto gained in a 48 hr period and you can sink the people over and over or disqualified. These pirate events are cool however. These trader and Pirate events are just what Maris needs.
Good job Papaya u did a good thing you should keep making more events like this
If you hardly ever leave Seville and Eu, you won't face much danger no. And it's upside down. Traders, adventures,..face pirates with clippers, schooners,..and they sail dangerous waters with paper ships and are willing to face armed to the teeth, up to heavy cash shop pirates,..against they have virtually no chance. Pirates run away even >>>in battle ships<<<< from BH or already players with battle ships,..that has a name: cowards. Let alone they would sail around with clippers,..fear total, so when it comes to courage, ...spending incredible amount of time, money, effort,..to sink to clippers & schooners is not brave, is exact the opposite, okay some think they show strength with this. It's the pirates who hardly face any danger,..since the rules for them are beyond easy....and they go crazy by any change suggestion which would force pirates to face battle players (far more often) on the sea.
@crazyhunter2003 did you read what I wrote? I clearly stated that there will be people farming their own alts.
@viennas I would like to know how a pirate can farm a white? Oh that's right, it can't be done! A white CANNOT be hit over and over. As a matter of fact the only player that can be farmed is a pirate! So perhaps you should know at least a little about a subject before you go on a rant.
You don't like pirates. We get that. But they are players. They are playing a game that has this class as an option. You are not required to play the game. You don't ever have to interact with pirates in the game if you chose not to. Sooooo?
Hands down playing as a pirate is the most challenging part of the game. All the rules are Against pirates and favor the other classes.
Honestly how often are you pirated? How devastating has it been when you have been pirated? Did you lose a tribute? Or did they take 1 or 2m?
@EVERYONE i would just ignore anything viennas has to say. Since he only has 24 posts from the start of the server i went into his profile last night and found that pretty much every post he's had has revolved around starting disputes in threads about the pirate topic on this server. It's obvious that he is nothing but a forum troll who doesn't listen to people or PPP and only wants to create chaos on this board. This is what trolls do they get their kicks from creating conflict on forum boards.
Truth is that even before the start of the server, PPP stated that they were going to be changing aspects of the game to bring more of a maritime element back into this game with the return of plunder and deck battle but yet people still came back. The server had a great start with people wanting to play the game anyways despite this but the real problem is that people just don't want/ or have the time to rebuild their characters over again so many have moved on to play other games. This applies true for every class, even traders (like CocoaPuff) stated this. Those that have continued to play are only a handful compared to the numbers we had from the start.
The newest group of people who have been leaving the game lately have been traders not maritimers since the game has become stagnant from lack of excitement. There's only so many nanban runs and so much easily made money people can make before they get bored and move on to other games and/or have gone back to playing on the Asian servers, the same is true for the maritimers that have had to re-grind their skills.
PPP has tried different things to improved the game quality for everyone here but you can't make everyone happy. Their biggest mistake was to have us restart our characters and have to rebuild all the port developments over again. I understand that PPP has to make money but they DON'T make money from our lvl's and skills, only from our gear and ships. If they just emptied our inventories and had us have to get all our wealth back again then the population probably would've been larger right now as it's easier and more profitable to rebuild our wealth than it is to rebuild our skills over again.
@viennas haahaa lol thats where you're wrong and why you shouldn't listen to rumors. My beef with pirates is long long loooooong standing ask any pirate and I encountered them frequently outside Seville… in fact because I use to talk so much trash I would usually have 20 to 30 pirates chasing me through SEA and Caribbean near Florida(yes I built my colony right next to Nassau) that was part of the reason just to spite them lol.
Then when Deck battle was in game I went and purchased a fully decked out MKW because land battle was my thing and got surrounded by LJP in Calicut oh we smack talked for hours lol good times. So no im no stranger to danger.
The point is this you say pirates run from BH you say they run from fights that actually proves my point if thats true which it is… why you complaining? Lol. If they running you should be happy all you need is either a battle ship or land battle skills or tribs or sacrifice 1 nanban run to buy a blue flag for 24hr complete immunity WHAT is preventing that? You dont even need to craft tribs anymore you can buy direct in boxes for dirt cheap its easy theres really no excuse. You can't really get caught unless you allow it and most run if you fight back.
You hate pirates thats cool USE THAT fight back talk your trash let your nuts hang hell I used to call them homeless beggers and actually started a pirate welfare program where I would make food and sew clothes for them and id sail around giving them to Pirates and 100k to help them get a real job lol. Thats the fun just have fun with it pirates are players too and make it fun lol.
@CrzyPsycoChick CPC, don't waste your time with viennas. He is nothing but a forum troll trying to cause problems here. You have been away for a bit and missed all the threads where people have already explained countless times how easy it is to avoid pirates the various ways. The point of a forum troll is to continue to argue a pointless case even in the face of undeniable truth which is exactly what viennas does. He's only doing it to cause conflict not to debate and fix real issues with the game, his remark about you is just another example of this, he's just trying to provoke you into conflict.
no they aren't my favorite people and I don't bother with them as long they don't go over limits as starting petitions,..so they can farm people more easy. Unlike the rest of the player base, their actions does effect the gameplay of others. They are so full of themselves, if you don't bow down to Naver in game cult, you are heretic, it's literally hilarious. Judging by the comments, pirates here seems to be just teenagers, thus I don't even bother to respond to everything,..people like purplepirate obviously don't know where they cross all limits, lack of basic respect,..let his comments speak for themselves.
By the way, why is there no rewards for bounty hunters in a Hero or Villain event? I am to busy on a new mmo to come back to bounty hunt all these pirates when I'm not going to get any cool rewards.
You'll get contacted by a PPP support member in ~24hrs which will redirect your question to a UWO GM which will then do something with it, however you never seem to get a response from our GMs if they actually did something with it.
@yingyang I wish it was about BHs as well. Would be fun to have them more involved.
My question is this: is the noto that is gained counted toward the event total or is it just the difference between the noto you start with to the noto you have left at the end of the event? I am trying to grind rowing and am losing noto fast. I had gained a lot of noto during the SF nanban event but it is disappearing quickly.
Well I have no chance of ranking well. I can't sit still and port camp, I have to sail and hunt. So my noto falls fairly quick. Nor will I stoop to the lower pirate tricks to gain or retain noto. I already have most of the items that are the rewards anyways.
Its definitely an event to create more pirates in the game, not to reward the existing ones.
These days I lose more noto than I gain because I sail around to find my prey, the only way to seriously gain notoriety is at events like the nanban thing at SF since the amount of players at the same spot is so dense.
I don't think it's bad at all, but a seperate reward list for BHs would've been nice so we can also see new BHs coming into the game instead of just pirates.
I know it sounds a bit ironic, but I take pride in the way I handle my piracy. I understand there are those that think it's terrible and ask how I could attack someone who is minding their own business. I can do it because it is supposed to be done. It adds a flare of excitement to an otherwise completely predictable event such as a nanban run.
I never use alts to farm or spy, I don't port camp, I don't attack other English toons, I don't attack people doing BRs. I often give back items, money, and cargo. I also offer to fleet those I sink to rescue their fleet and offer to tow them to town or their destination. The money I keep sometimes gets gifted to a noobie English toon I happen to pass.
I would be great for the game community if whites and blues held themselves to a standard as well, many do not.
If you want a challenge in the game try being a pirate. It is the most difficult part to play. So many restrictions and no reward. Have to have the widest variety of ships, gear , and skills. Everything else is so simple in comparison. How do I know? I have play the other parts first. Have you played as a pirate?

Sophocles said it best:
"I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating."

Hurts being an orange name, I have to pass on a lot of fleets that pass by due to them being English.
