New astronomer - any tips?

General Discussion
OK, I just got the astronomy job and skill, so I've been cruising around using recognition to try to make some astronomical observations, but other than finding stuff that people dropped, all I get is a messages that says something to the effect of "there's something here, but it cannot be observed in the current historical period". Anyone know what this means, or if I need to do something different? Change my title possibly? thanks in advance!

    Either the world clock needs to change or you need the right chrono title to make the discovery

    A lot of astronomy discoveries require certain chrono titles. I saw a full list somewhere, but couldn't find it right now.

    For the newer ones, you need to go the the japanese wiki -> discoveries, or wait until I update the discoveries on the wikia.

    if u go to the adv guild and there from the npc u can see what stars are out for the month,if u find it first u some times can get a title that has nice buffs.
    Also a lot of quest are unlocked for astro by doing arch and geo quest.
    Also Mysterious Phenomena can be found both at sea and on land and u need to be almost on top of them for your skill to pick them up.

    theres one south east of athens  one in the lower part of the red sea one in seaa little north of jakarta. one on the uper right side of australia .just a vew i can think of off the top of my head.

    Those phenomena dont require astronomy.
