In the description of the event only requirement shown is total fame 200.

go into game and try participating.you find that melee & plunder are required in order to collect the viking items.

this fact is not written anywhere in the description

seems a bit unfair to think u can do this and when you try,oops u can't

I wasted 2 hours trying to do this event before i found out i needed plunder

GMs please be more forthcoming with actual rules & requirements for future events

    You can still participate. you just won't plunder anything when you win a battle.

    @ WesDoobner What good is doing an event when u have zero chance to get any of the rewards from it?

    you still get practice and experience points, skill proficiency points. Pretty much anything you do in this game adds up over time. Myself though, I would get the plunder skill if I didn't already have it.

    @crazyhunter Sorry you wasted your time attempting the event while not knowing that plunder is required. They perhaps should have made it more clear.
    They host so many different events and in most cased the specifics are not laid out. As in the thanksgiving event, one assumes that you have procurement or collection to reap the benefits.

    I was wondering if maybe someone who knows about the Viking Event could provide some detail to what little info that is available from Papaya and the wiki link (which was helpful) listed above.

    I’ve turned in several Rogue chests but after 8 or so I’m getting only the voyagers amulet. I turned in 3 Viking armour and received one red bag. The Lady Buccaneer would not take anymore after that. So I used a second character to turn in Viking armor but she only excepted one from him.

    Are there specific things we need to turn in for specific reports? My goal is the Special Storm Sail, but would like to know how this event works. Any information is much appreciated.

    As far as I understand you need to turn in different armors for the Lady to accept them. Once you have turned in any armor she will not take another one of that type.
    To get the storm sail you will need to turn in six armors.

    The Vikings logbooks will only get you the amulets after you have turned in 10 I think.

    My luck with getting armors is about 1 in every 75 rogue chests.
    After trying the event for a day or two I have decided it's not worth the time and effort in my opinion.

    So far I only get abt one chest per 5 fleets killed (all ships by mellee) and beside just ONE miserly logbook they just contained loads of herring and meatballs.

    Rewards after turning in UNIQUE (meaning not the same) viking armours are as follows:
    3 - Red Grab Bag (Best items are hermes sandals and the +1 sail handling swords)
    6 - Superior Box (seems like best item is cat ears, or +1 unlock crown)
    9 - Special storm sail

    It isn't practical to get the armours from the rogue chest, so the best way to do it is plunder them normally.  I used this as a resource http://uwomarcos.blogspot.com/2014/08/plundering-rare-items-mannequinsviking.html

    Beware this isn't easy, and you might need to request assistance from friends etc to help you complete some of these.  But, it can be done.  I have gotten 3 x special storm sails already, working on more.

    P.S you cannot turn in any more armours on one toon after you have gotten the final reward.

    This is helpful thanks. So turning in a full set, 1 of each:

    Helgi the Lean's armour
    Erik the Red's armour
    Thorfinn the Skullsplitter's armour
    Aud the Deep-minded's armour
    Freydis the Unafraid's armour
    Leif the Lucky's armour
    Karlsefni the Brave's armour
    Thorstein the Red's armour
    Gudrid the Widow's armour

    will give you the Storm Sail? And you can only get one of each reward (at 3, 6, 9 armour) per char.?

    Wow this cursed event came again!

    The last Viking Event caused the server to bankrupt because of the possibility of mass farming premium items. I remember i farmed 30 3-piece-sets of viking armors to reap awards, and a lot of people farmed even more than i did by many folds.

    The same mistake is being made once again.

    Look like papaya is trying to wash their hands off this game.

    Most of the "premium content" had nothing to do with the Viking armours. Things like cannon forging tools came from the logbook rewards. This time it's all just crap, unless you turn in all 9 armours.

    I would be happy to sell the rogue chests if I think there are buyers.
    Not sure what people would pay for them.
    But let me know if you would want some.

    I dunno if I fully agree with some of the statements above. I strongly feel that this is really the ONLY way to farm any type of speed booster without buying UWC.

    Each log book is 30% speed up for 1 hour,,

    The amulets once used are random unfortunately so Ill just hang onto the log books myself.

    He'll I'll sell the log books. I am addicted to th 50% speed boosts so I would have withdrawal of i used only a 30%

    carssman, you can get plenty of 1 hour 30% speed boosters from Millionaire boxes in North America.
