Cultural Contribution?

I'm trying to raise my cultural contribution level, but it's a little confusing. I gather that one of the best ways to do this is by exhibiting something at the museum in Paris, and I've got a list of different items you can use. But, do some of these items give more points than others? And is this really the best way to get CC points? Any tips would really be appreciated!
May the winds blow you well

Ive used a variety of ornaments from different locations and of different diamond values, and it seems they all grant the same amount of CC points. What im not too sure about is if displaying in the big galley gets you more CC points then the small galley although last time I tried it back on GAMA I didnt notice any significant difference in the amount of CC points gained.

Other ways you can get more CC points is selling specialty goods in a major port that has a trend going on with that region (their has to be a profit or it wont count), reporting discoveries that comes from that area to any NPCs that likes them, signing up with one of the guilds where your get CC points for making discoveries, and displaying certain ornaments that gives a boost effect of increasing CC points in your display room in your quarters.

Shout out to FeliciaRios she taught me this...

    Points from the Louvre

The Louvre in Paris has two rooms the main hall and the small rooms now I do not remember the exact numbers but I believe you get 300 points each day while in the small rooms the display gets taken down every 7 days. Putting here is free. Now depending on where your discovery is from it has a chance for your nation to start a trend with that cultures trend I'll get to that later...

Now the main hall you get 500 points for the first day and 700 per day after the first day each day the only catch is the space is limited in the main hall for a limited amount of displays so you must pay to put your display there up to a maximum 100mil. This lasts 30 days unless... Another player pays the amount you posted then your display gets taken down and theirs gets put up and you no longer will get points. You can retrieve your item anytime it's taken down for free.

The item you put in the main hall or the small room discovery level wise is irrelevant they all gather the same amount of points. However, the catch is you can only put items that were acquired outside of EU like Africa or Egyptian Asian Indian etc...

    Points from Trends

Remember when I said if you post an item in your nations room to start a trend well you can acquire points from trends as well.  I know you have seen the Indian trends are influencing this city etc... And the music changes when visiting the port.  Well that is the result of a trend you can check which city is trending with what by visiting the port official and checking. Anywho when this happens if you sell to the market keeper with that trending nation's goods they will give you cultural contribs points and this is a good way to rack up some additional points a day. If Seville has African culture trending and you sell ivory a specialty good of Africa voila you get cultural contribution points. Hence why you may see people selling trending goods near the market keeper for this reason.

    Points from reporting discoveries

When a nation port is trending with a nation's culture if you report a discovery in that city from the trending nation's area you get points from that too.

My personal experience its best to put goods in the smaller rooms and people in the main hall can see who is displaying an item then proceed to troll you but paying to take down your display. Had one guy remove my display at 100 mil each time 11 times just to troll me smh. So go with the small room.

To make it even more simple...just display an ornament in the museum.

Let it ride; ignore it other than once a week go back to replant it there.

If you go on any adventure quests, change your union to the types of discoveries you'll be making (bio+geo // the rest). Each time you make a discovery you gain more culture. The higher the rank of the discovery, the more you gain.

No need to complicate it any further than that really.

If using some culture to take a 2nd quest, take the quest with the most stars first. The amount you lose depends on the rank of the quest. Try not to use your culture as much as possible, or at least use it only for making 2 discoveries that will replace what is used.

maxed culture without dealing with trends etc....it's that easy now

thanks for the info - the museum exhibit got my culture contribution up high enough for my purposes now, and I will also be changing my union. I couldn't figure out how to get any more points for reporting discoveries, I reported to the favored person for historical discoveries, about 20, and didn't get any points, plenty of qmps though. oh well, I've got plenty of culture for now. thanks again!
