1. Prepare as many tributes , pegasus feathers, and blue flag as possible.
2. If ever a need to sail into lawless sea, always sail near to the line so u can change sea in 2 sec :D. Keep changing sea as u can see the blinking .No one can attack u, untill u sail toward safe sea. HAHAHAHAH.
3.If ever got struck in port use Aide tow for no cargo.( change another alt to play :D)
4.Which is the most desperate measure, LOG OUT !!!!! Esp you know u going to get farm badly. No point continue to sail and break your game.
5.There many dungoen to do , before the update open them and use esbt to play dungoening .
6.Grind all the trade skill in Euro while the sea is hositle. it will keep u very busy for a long time.
7 Grind fitness . This will take a long time as well LOL.
8. Grind unlock map skill .This will take a long time as well hahahahaha.
9.Grind melee skill . This will take a long time also xD. Wahahahahahaha
10. Play gandor :P
Good luck mates !

1 tribs to help a lot how do u think people use to do its not some crazy new idea even back when the game first came out.
2 no ones making u sail with alts thats your choice .and its not like u have to use real cash to get them u can buy them from other players in game .
I really think most of u guys are just pushing for drama because like this because the game is going to be a little harder and mygod there not spoonfeeding the trade and adv side for once .Battle mite have a comeback.
How about rather thin sail with alts u sail with some from your guild have a bodyguard i know its crazy right teamwork is not something most of u got to try out once sailing with alts where giving the ok by ogp
any idea of teamwork was tossed out the window. But thats what guild where used for unliketoday.
I remember when a guild of 30+ people would all do a spice run togeather each team had at least 1-2 battle toons in each party.
Sad to see todays concept of alts are everything.
[Uwaoo~] You have a good point to check maritime guild activity on pirates. [/Uwaoo~]
I agree with the obtaining blue flags, peg feathers and fine tribs. The latter I always carry and I always keep a blue flag in the bank. Two other things you can do to protect your cargo are, 1) Get a ship with improved hold and 2) grind that storage skill. These two things in combo won't save you from being sunk but it's a nearly fool-proof method to avoid plunder which, really, is the primary concern of most traders. I have it on my TLG factory ship so I can do production at sea in relative safety even in lawless waters and plan to add it to my BTC as an original skill before I take it out after the patch hits.
One thing to keep in mind about fine tribs is, if you don't already know, they are not get out of piracy free cards. When you use a fine trib you lose half the ducats you are carrying. This means that if you get farmed under the new rules you can still wind up dead broke on the water and that's not something you want to have happen.
Grinding storage is not hard. It should be a "no-brainer" for every trader to be fishing and grinding storage whenever you are sailing. It's not the fastest way to go but it's a steady advancement and relieves some of the boredom of long sailing trips.
Another way to get a quick start on the early storage skill grind is to go to your favorite berry gathering point and, using travelers food procurement book, work your way up through lime juice which will get you to R7 or 8 fairly quickly. There are alternative routes but that is my favorite. I used it to R10.
Finally, and this is my least favorite but one of he most effective means of protecting your goods and gear, start grinding land battle. Instead of getting 10 or more battle skills and sacrificing valuable trade skill slots, ESPECIALLY AT LOW TO MID LEVELS where you won't have the skill slots to spare, acquire sword play, sword mastery, and merchandise knowledge skills. This is the bare minimum mind you, there are other skills like Traps, sniping, gunfire etc...that will make you tougher in land/deck battle but those are essential. Once you have the skills, grind the crap out of them! It is, for me, without question the worst grind in the game but if you are going to be facing a lot of pirates while trading it is the best way to go. Nothing is quite as satisfying as dragging a pirate into deck battle and whipping their ass and maybe even taking some of THEIR gear instead of losing yours. Downside is you get turned blue if you win but if you can be farmed anyway, who cares. And nothing, I mean nothing pisses off a pirate more than getting plundered by a trader! There are lots of ways to grind deck/land battle and there are some very good guides out there so I'm not going into that here except to say that, if you can put up with the tedium, dungeons can be quite profitable.
Anyway, that is how I plan to deal with the new piracy rules. Best of luck to all of you and see you on the seas!

Agreed. However, the Travelers Food Procuring recipe book starts at level one and you can go to a berry gathering or buying location depending upon your preference and grind berries exclusively through to lime juice which is, as you quite correctly point out, a R7 recipe. Hence the reason I said "Work your way up to Lime Juice".
But yes, Lime Juice is an R7 recipe.

Create a PvE server only and my family, friends and I will stay in UWO but with open PK and no real justice to stop ganking, griefing, and being slaughtered for those of us who do not enjoy PvP we'll be moving on to something else.
I don't hate PvPers. I just don't enjoy PvP anymore and prefer it not be imposed upon me in a game I play to relax and play the elements in. Best wishes to everyone that stays and PvPs. No hard feelings against them. In UWO though it is not my cup of tea.
I'm pretty sure that one can equip storage booster gear (For instance, Wise man staff +3 Storage iirc, Malachite Jewelry Box +2 Storage, Western boots +1 Storage iirc, etc., for r1+6 Storage rank to start lime juicing, or for r8+6 Storage rank to start leafing the bamboo at Lisbon pet trainer npc, or for r2+6 to start making fish meat out of tuna) to ease the Storage grind. In a sense, Storage is your friend. Friieeend!!!
book it's self begins at R1 and you can grind through to R7 exclusively
with berries. Obtaining one of the jeweled brooches from an African
item shop after some investment is a quick way to pick up a +1 storage
item as well. Also you can buy a Dolman in Istanbul without investment
that is also +1 and there is another in one of the Red Sea or Persian
Gulf towns that will give you +2 storage although that one does
require some investment iirc.
But you are quite correct, Lime juice is an R7 recipe.
