ORDER OF QUEEN - EMBARGO

CocoaPuffBunnyCocoaPuffBunny Posts: 82Member Beginner
Cocoa-Puff here, Queen (Deputy Director) of Barter-Town (Genoa).  (Who Run Barter-Town?  Puff Run Barter-Town!)  I do Hereby and Forthwith Declair a Complete Trade and Adventure Embargo against the Minority of those who wish to destroy our game.  Traders and Adventurers:  We are not respected.  We are referred to as "Epic Sea Food".  There are few Trade and Adventure games left, but a ton of mindless battle games.  The Pirates (hereafter titled "Griefers"), are just licking their chops, drooling over Griefing us Honest, Hard-Working Traders and Adventurers.  They plan to set up Toll Booths, well, the ones who will accept Tributes;  Most want to just Plunder and Pick you Clean.  Just check out the forums, and look at the latest posts;  they can hardly wait to Grief you.  The Griefers even dug up and bumped up old Griefer posts.  Even the Games and Events they will hold feature Battle Ships as Prizes.  They are really trying to save these pitiful Griefers.
Therefore, I am urging all Traders and Adventurers to Boycott all Unsafe Waters, and to Boycott all Trade Goods and Adventure Quests in Unsafe Waters during this "Trial Period".  Now is a rare opportunity for Traders and Adventurers to make an Impact in this game.  There is a ton of Content to do in Safe Waters.  Let The Griefers have their Hostile and Lawless Waters.  Let them play with themselves and be Slappy Spacebar with each other.  The Griefers were eliminated from my game a long time ago.  The rare times I was Griefed . . . ummm, pirated (never griefed again), it was a minor inconvenience.  (take your 50K and go away).  I never went to Epic Sea Food or Battle Campaign, or did any battle event, other than Battle Reports to get on certain ships.  Those days are long gone.  Cut the Cancer out in U-WOE.  Stay in Safe Waters.  Stop buying Blue Flags, stop doing Nanban, where the Griefers are clustered like Roaches on Parade. Don't buy Nanban Goods, or Nutmeg and Mace.  Use the blue flags you have to sail to Ascension, Diego Garcia, St. Lucia, or Savaii, and claim some farms.  I develop my dozen farms daily.  I am already getting Colored Ore and Tuna.  Do some Merchant Quests.  Load your ship up with local goods and spices, and perfume and tambourines, and do quests to earn your Purchase Orders. Improve your Relations with the Bar Girls, and save them from Instructors Andrea and Stiletto.  I will miss Raema, my In-Game Mom in St. Georges, but she will understand.   Do you really think I would pay a million ducats for ONE PO4?  It goes against Ferengi Rule of Acquisition #69.  Do production.  Do safe water adventure quests.  Even do Safe Water Battle Reports.  Have fun with Land Battles:  I am Annie Oakley with a Rifle.  Learn some Techs for your Weapon of Choice.  Do some Safe Water Dungeons.  If you need Ducats, buy something other than Blue Flags.  Why spend 20 Billion on a Ship of Grief?  Why even equip your 16 cannons on your Trade or Adventure ships when The Griefers have 110+ with a Bow Force Field?  I realize the only true joy in this game is when you use a blue flag, where you don't have to worry about Griefers, or swarms of NPC every half a Nautical Mile, and you can actually get things done in Peace, but stop buying them;  It encourages them to Buff the Griefers.  There is no Peer vs. Peer in this game;  The Griefers are not our Peers, they are not up to our level.  Don't encourage them to Dumb Down the Game.  I encourage the 99.9 percenters to stamp out the 0.1% Griefers.  Please support our Embargo!

Thank You for your attention to this request.

You have my support and sympathy but probably will many people just deinstall the game without any warnings,.., and even more will follow soon, at the end they changing the entire game now into a pure PK game (literally), where adventure is completely destroyed, impossible to do adventure outside safe waters now,and I doubt traders will buy beyond expensive blue flags to do nanban, nor I think that those people are interested to play a PK game in the first place.

At least they have listened enough to turn this into a trial period. The original message suggested it was going to be a permanent feature. I will be doing as you suggest or just not playing till after Aug 22nd and see if they reinforce the 1 hour rule.

The patch now says 1h protection removal. That leads to non stop farming. I see no space for traders to survive.

I cannot accept a game to allow somebody to farm on someone non-stop and unlimited. This is my borderline.

Once it is confirmed Papaya will do that on the 1st of August, I will delete the game right on that day and never return. Papaya has been given a lot of chance. They want to suicide? Lol, not my problem.

My logic is simple. Nobody in this world is going to be "THE FOOL" to be sinked non stop on sea.

Do you guys read all the posts that tell you "How many ways Traders can counter and play?"

My advise is = Don't give a F about it.

They told you to continue be a trader. But everyone is switching to pirates.

Traders can play with non stop farming? More profits more risks? Logical. Don't be pirates then. Go be traders now. Prove it with your actions, not by mouth.

"Now is a rare opportunity for Traders and Adventurers to make an Impact in this game."

Yes, you have my support, it rare to see traders and adventurer gather to make a impact.

"Have fun with Land Battles: I am Annie Oakley with a Rifle. Learn some Techs for your Weapon of Choice."

Good suggestion, you see me at portobelo outskirt from 1st to 22th Aug.

I am not against pirates or piracy, they are part of the game, I have pirates in my comp and friends. what I disagree and upset is allowing farming.

The traders MUST sail to the outside sea. So pirates have targets to hit.

So whether you continue to play uwo in other form or method, your existence worth nothing in the game. If you bunker yourself inside eu and dungeons and whatever it is, without giving targets to the pirate to sink you. It is totally pointless. Because what the pirates want are targets to sink.

This change -- farm non stop will not have any effect if there are no targets on the sea to begin with.

What Papaya expect from the traders and adventure, is to let yourselves been sunk, farmed, and plundered unlimited, so it could satisfy the needs of the pirates.

If you love this game so much and want it to continue? Do so.

For me, sry to say I don't owe Papaya anything, and Papaya didn't owe me anything, so I do not need to do that for them.

No players will sacrifice themselves for that. That is a certain. Who will do that? Bots. So in the future uwo is a battlefield for pirates to spend thousands grinding themselves, to fight bots on sea :p

And we, of course, must encourage them to continue to do so. Because they are one of the part of the reason that uwo went into this bad state, with that childish belief of NM old memories and keep demanding extreme request.

And they still think they are right and have the right to do so. They even challenge you to quit if you don't like it.

So what I am afraid of? Quit then! You request to farm on me non stop and I still want to stay? That is really stupid you know? Prove to them that I can, I quit then. What is left for traders and adventurer in uwo? Nothing! Quit and let them see it. They don't need players in the game except the "pirates" what? Make their games come true then! Let them have fun in a ghost server themselves.

Make unreasonable requests and keep bragging around asking others to quit lol. Be brave a bit, quit and let them see it!

Yeah but otherwise, I don't blame only Naver, purplepirate, Culvern,..to destroy this game, such lunatics are by every video game, players who want to turn everything into a slaughterhouse, this is nothing new. But usually are game companies much wiser and smarter as that, but Papaya, it does not seems that they see any difference between War Rock and UWO, same thing for them, where Trading and Adventure seems to be for them some kind of side activity, b category,... And such incompetence is scary and one can only wish they will sell the game fast to someone else.

I am Poopiepants1 and I support Coca-Puff's message. I changed my Avatar to reflect how I feel about the direction that UWO is going. I have left the game and not coming back. Bye everyone I am off to bigger and better things.

I never asked for this patch nor have I ever condoned farming of whites. As a blue (BH) player there's no reason or logic to why i would want to see any white players get farmed. I do agree that the game needs more challenge and excitement but there has to be balance for fairness, i even wrote a thread about it to counter Navers petition (which i never signed).

If you are a red/orange/blue player then the current system allows you to be farmed, but if players want to go that route then they accept the possibility that that may happen. I challenge anyone to find a single post of mine on these forums that shows i support unrestricted farming of white players, but you won't because it doesn't exist!

People like viennas are nothing but forum trolls that don't even read people's posts and state lies for no other reason than that fact that the word 'pirate' appears in this account name. That's the exact same thing as if a person of a particular race or belief commits a crime and then blaming everyone else from that group are just as bad because they are from the same sect. How ridiculous! Viennas is a troll and is just trying to look like a big shot nothing more. At least i've actively tried to come up with solutions to this problem while viennas hasn't even tried to contribute any ideas to any discussions on this forum.

If only we had a few players who would put as much effort into the game as they do in self-publishing these mini-novels on the forum.

uwosupplydepot - you didn't fix shit for me, maybe for yourself. I don't give a crap how people play, piracy, sit around and sell stuff, trade, adventure, whatever. Ain't my business - maybe it is yours, not mine though. Play any way you want to.

"Therefore, I am urging all Traders and Adventurers to Boycott all Unsafe Waters, and to Boycott all Trade Goods and Adventure Quests in Unsafe Waters"

I'm betting the NPC's don't really care if you buy or sell them trade goods and the quest mediators will go home just fine at the end of their shift.

Nice, Namban gonna be so good, peeps having an EMBARGO(Chuckles) - market rates gonna hit the roof both abroad and at home. Thanks.
  • CocoaPuffBunnyCocoaPuffBunny Posts: 82Member Beginner
I bet the NPC's don't really care either.  What the Blue Hell does NPC's have to do with it?  I didn't know they had shifts.

You are most welcome.  Be sure to sell your Nanban to Market, if the Market Keeper is on his shift.

UPDATE:  Don't even worry about an Embargo, forget about the game for this outrageous "trial".  Let them see an empty game.
