BG Mode Changes

As requested by HGM Pain, here the suggestions a discussion on the discord generated. The following people helped achieve these: Vampire, Jake, MrTerror. Thanks guys!

Suggestions:
Vehicle spawn with decreased ammo amount
Vehicle repair time by both spanner and repair tool to be increased
Vehicle spawn shield upon spawn and 2/3 seconds after first use in main base

Stinger as standard equipment for every heavy player next to PZF.
QLB launcher changed to f2p Dinar weapon, as this closes the gap to p2w a bit. 

More suggestions will be coming up, HGMs please make sure you check on discord regularly and respond actively when suggestions are being brought up. Also, we requested to have a 'serious discussion' section in Discord with some strict rules (and I mean strict!).

    I'm a BG player but, honestly, i don't agree with these suggestions. I can only agree about stinger (maybe). But anyway these suggestions will not change the gamplay and of course will not improve it.

    PS: Veichels are already nerfed and it's not so easy to play by helicopter or plane (there are a lot of weapons and anti-aircraft for them). If you wanna talk about tanks it's ok, we can do it.

    Hi Albeee, thanks for your reply.

    These suggestions are both to protect vehicles moving from their main base (spawn shield) and to have them return to a friendly base for ammo/repairs. 

    Could you give us an argument per suggestion why you don't support them? This will help us tweak them for the better. Without arguments against, we will see them as proper solutions.

    - increase panzerfaust dmg 
    - remove join restrictions 
    - no more one shot kills with sniper-rifles (except headshots of course)
    - decrease the m249 accuracy
    - remove death cam/red dots


    we`ve heard this all long ago... why would they care now?
    in the end its the community, that loves baseraping so much. no balance changes will solve this problem

    Ye dude, you are right. I have to say that i play pretty well right now in BG mode, every veichles have been nerfed and there are a lot of anti-aircraft. 
    Anyway I think:
    - remove the "under 50 kill left" limit to join in to the room;
    - then i agree with @Nephilim82 about the pzf damage;
    - remove again the "mine's bug"
    -  the BH_minigun has to be improved, at least on the veichles damage(like apache, luchs, etc.) or a map like Zakhar is just unfair for the NIU team;
    - And i don't really like the fu**ing characters cause they can confuse each other derb and niu side. They need to be marked for the side;
    - About the death-cam, maybe remove it but take on the red dots :D
    - Nerf aw50, at least on the veichle's damage

    The rest is pretty well. I think that the BG mode just need more players, then everymatch could be better.

    Fix this:

    1) i die from 3 rocket with k1a1 tank (even it is just a panzerfaust), and i need 5 rpg to kill 1 tank and some times after5 hit tank still have 1-2% HP
    So how my die from 3 rocket?????
    2) for me need 2 rpg hit on enemy to kill, 1 missed rocket hiting my ally front of me kill me with plash damage. HOW?????
    3)for me need 2-3 aw50 hit on main body to kill and 1 kill me even on leg HOW?????
    4)Landmine damage on tank on me 48-49% with 1 TMA1mine, and i put 3 on 1 place +1 rpg and no kill HOW?????
    5) for me need 6 locked stinger to kill air units, i enter a bird and 2 hit kill it instantly HOW?????

    Fix this then start with new stuff!

    Hello guys,
    thank you very much for your time and effort writing these suggestions. The HGM Team reviewed your suggestions and come to a consensus. Keep in mind that this is not definitive and is subject to change.

    @Wombarger
    - I will past your first 3 suggestions along to our team to discuss them internally
    - Stinger is already available for everyone in the Itemshop for some Dinars. It isn't that expensive so everyone, who really wants to play with that weapon is able to buy it easily from the shop
    - As a grenadethrower we already have the HK69 as a counterpart to the QLB in the Itemshop for Dinar for everyone. So, if you want more options than the HK69, you have to spend a bit of WRC.

    @NephiliM82
    - increase panzerfaust dmg -> Not happening. It's a default weapon. These aren't likely to be modified damage-wise, and if they are, it would be very little.
    - remove join restrictions -> This would indeed give room to more 'reinforcements' (players) that could turn the tide ina game.
    - remove death cam/red dots -> We made a poll about this. On one hand, this would mean a bigger sniperfest if these two were removed. On another hand, it would add more tactical play and people will have to have more map awareness.
    - no more one shot kills with sniper-rifles -> This will be discussed within the team but this happening is doubtful. We are still in the process of rebalancing sniper rifles.
    - decrease the m249 accuracy -> M249 is not that accurate. You simply need to control the recoil

    @albeee
    - remove the "under 50 kill left" limit to join in to the room -> See above point
    - remove again the "mine's bug" -> This is being discussed within the team
    - the BH_minigun has to be improved -> A vehicle rebalance could be a subject of discussion, we are currently looking at BG as a whole
    - a map like Zakhar is just unfair for the NIU team -> A small alternative would be replacing both helicopters with a Super_Hind
    - Nerf aw50, at least on the veichle's damage -> See above point

    for me need 6 locked stinger to kill air units, i enter a bird and 2 hit kill it instantly HOW????? -> This user needs to strafe left-right and right-left to avoid Stingers

    you could simply delete pzf from the game then... no way to kill any tank with that crap (with the most recent event everyone got fast charge for free, so you cant even kill tanks with rpg/carl gustaf without fast reload anymore)

    what does that mean for us now? the poll was months ago and we never got any informations on what is going to happen. 
    games are already a sniperfest, thanks to the rediculously overpowered aw50 (would get solved by my next point ;) ) but you already told me in the german section, that you are scared of the following shit storm, if aw50 gets nerfed, so i didnt really expect any other answer

    - Pzf is a default weapon so it can stay on for who wants to use it. If u don't like it, you just buy rpg from the shop with dinars, it's really cheap. (that's what i do)
    - Honestly, the deathcam is not a really problem for me. In big maps like conturas/engrene etc. it is really important to find some compers with snipers. Without dethcam (or red dots at least) it's impossible to know from where someone i shooting.
    - I don't know, but i guess aw50 has already be nerfed a bit, it has not the same aim of nexon/g1 management.(but i don't know, that's what i feel)
    - Don't think that m249 is imba as compared to other weapons of the game. Then it doesn't need to be nerfed.

    @HGM Pain
    - I think that the join restrinction has to be one of the first point because there are already few BG rooms in the game and a lot of time can't join cause "under 50 kills" but the match is started by 100 so it's half of the game.
    - About Zakhar it could be cool by super hind, or can just be fixed improving bh_minigun's damage on vehicles
    - I really think that characters like gina and others (i don't remember the names) need to be marked for the side, or it's hard to understand if a player is playing in Derb or Niu team.

    Anyway, as i said in the first post, the BG gameplay is pretty good right now.

    This is a good suggestion.
    - About the repairing time, i think that it is good. Maybe a solution can be to disable the auto repair (on the repairing points) for Derb in the NIU's main base and the other way around. Then the spawncampers can't stay on the repairing point by tank (for exaple) killing the enemies while they are repairing.

    Plain and simple wrong.

    There were times when there was neither a red dot nor a death cam and we still found the snipers. Of course it requires at least a few games on each map to get to know those sniper spots but it is anything but impossible or hard.
    There always has been the strategic mini map where one could spot where your teams snipers are and those places used by your own snipers will of course most likely be the places where hostile snipers will hide when fighting from this side.
    That is not difficult but it at least requires the willingness to accept that playing a map once is not enough to master it.

    If you are going to have a spawn shield then it needs to be effective. 2-3 seconds is not long enough. The spawn shield should be between 60-120s. This allows someone to enter a vehicle, get it moving out of base and start engaging targets pushing the enemy back before the shield runs out.

    Look at it logically what distance can a tank travel in 2/3 seconds... About 10 meters.  

    How far would a helicopter or plane travel given the same time span. A heli would not even get any altitude and a plane would not even get off the strip before the spawn shield vanishes and they start taking damage.

    Maybe keep the heli / plane to 60s as this gets them up in the air away from main bases while the tank gets 120s due to the reduced distance it can cover on a map. But they need enough of a shield to start effecting games. 

    This way sitting outside a camped main bases its not a very good tactic requiring players / vehicles to back off further away to stop being destroyed the moment the enemy teams vehicle spawns. 

    Also stop the enemy team from entering any main base vehicles. 

    Increase the spawn timer between vehicle spawns so a careless user effects there team by losing there own vehicles. Make it so its better to be at distance and defensive then up close spawn point killing.

    120 sec spawn def hahahaha, u die then kill all enemy then they spawn and kill your max team and reapeat, all end up with kd 1 and deleting game do to it turned f ing boring :)))))))

    Lol dude, by 120 sec of spawnshield u can kill the whole enemy team and the game is finished. LOL.
    I think 2/3, max 5 sec are already enough.

    60-120s is nothing. Go in game enter a tank and count to 3 its nothing you do not even exit most main bases in 3 seconds in a tank especially if under fire and spawn trapped. I should have pointed out that this is for main base vehicles only and not mid map cap vehicles. 

    So if you are spawn trapped and have no bases 60-120s is not a long time at all. 3-5 seconds does not effect the game in anyway! and a spawn shield is meant to be a way to break a spawn trap.

    The stupid mine "bug" needs to go! Some players abuse this whole game by sitting in car near base and throwing mines there, when enemy comes trying to take base he drives over mines -> kills them. I mean seriously this is so stupid and pissing off many people = you will keep losing players if you allow this kind of brainless things to happen in game. Why would anyone pay for this s*iiit seriously??

    AW50f needs to be nerfed! Some of the maps are just unplayable as you can`t move anywhere without being killed by 1shot of aw50f. Papaya wake the fkk up!! This gun atm is TOXIC!!! It ruins the game totally! So what if it get`s harder to kill? It`s better for these chips & pizza eating nerd boys not to look always the easiest way out in life. Aw50f doesn´t teach anything about sniping, the gun is big joke! Back in the days you had to learn aim with M24, no free lunches.

    Red dot/death cam same thing. Get rid of these for god sake, how many months we have asked of this!! After 2-4 weeks no one is going to cry about bringing them back. They would have to work more and the game might get more intresting with the aw50f being less effective aswell, if you are brave enough and do the right thing by nerfing it!

    More and more players are leaving this game every month. No suprise as nothing changes here. Our wishes goes to deaf ears.

    I can agree with both Wombarger and mrterror..

    Death cam and Red dot HAS TO GO! it’s the worse thing that was ever implemented into this game. Back in the day sniping was fun but now it’s boring.

    About the “mine bug” it’s not a bug it’s something that was part of the game for many years then Nexon removed it and now that it’s back people like to cry about it.

    Mini gun BH is completely 100% useless might as well just remove it from the game completely. Or remove the apache from Zakhar and put the Missile BH back like it was before..

    Also I can agree on the removal of join restrictions...

    I’d like to touch up on the characters as well, I feel like there should be a room option like “Default Characters Only” which will means old school warrock where you didn’t have 1,000,000 SP and can bunny hop across Engrene or Crater, and couldn’t tank headshots with your face masks like and Ethiopian eating lead for breakfast.
    I study the art of war in it's entirety. If you can play a quiet respectful game, you'll find me to be a loyal ally.
    If you're my enemy and you hear my m249 chugging, you better find some cover because I know my bullet drop.

    Some of the players abuse this "mine bug" daily now more than ever! Example they sit on car or tank near their base, so if enemy tries to take base the guy will just run over the mines with tank/car and boom we are dead, so there is no way to take the base. Is this fair?  Papaya GM`s should come to play more so they could see what kind of stupidity is going on nowadays.

    Another brainless example would be yesterdays match at Emblem, same mine bug using guys hiding in tanks and cars, but the master also made it so that no one could choose heavy character. Meaning you can`t even kill those tank nubs sitting there comfortably and looking for easy kills = running thru mines if anyone walks near and of course opponent side had both tanks and couple cars with aw50f bobs sitting in hill. This kind of brainless action makes people stop playing this game. It shouldn`t be possible to put heavy off from map which has tanks/cars. These kids without skills will do anything to get easy kills so they don`t have to work for it.

    Good luck for Papaya when they advertise this game and new players come to see what kind of craziness is allowed in game. They will surely not buy anything and will uninstall game soon.

    In new game mod i get dragunow with 2 damage (20%/hit), but 1 shoot kill me (not on head)
    RPG i need 4 full hit to kill 1 enemy and when i try kill enemy with shootgun RPG hit him i die as well, plash damage kill me :))) but i need 4 full hit to kill 1 enemy....

    9-0 then i get dragunow with 2 damage, but all gun kill me 1on head or 2 on body we tried :) from sniper 1 shoot i die :) i wast a fload amount of time just to make 3 sniper kill do to almost no damage for me same with rpg 3 damage / hit WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

    you officially destroyed BG with the no fog rule, I mean jets has lost it's most effective strength which is the element of surprise, but hell no now i have to dodge stingers just to get out of main base.
    I mean most pilots have offered many solutions to the problem of alt bombing, restraining altitude was a good idea and like we suggested earlier you can disable bombing above certain altitudes ( for example 250 in engrene ), but removing fog was stupid and i think even snipers of BG can agree with us seeing that they are exposed from 600 meters away
    its almost impossible to play in jets anymore you just have to dodge stingers all the time and if a chunma sees you (which i think needs about 650 meter now in engrene which is basically from main to base 11 or b10 according to which base, so you can cover 95% of the map from your main) you are screwed !! 
    *everything was seen on the map of Engrene, but you get the idea in general*

    PLEASE GOD, GIVE A MEDAL TO THIS GUY @HANNA164, HE HAS TOTALLY GOT THE POINT.
    Hope they can see all this feeedbacks and roll back with FOG ON or Battle Group mode is just DEAD.
    No fog is one of the stupidest thing i ever seen in this game.

    Guys, let's hope it is just a bug. I'm pretty sure they will change it as many people has lost their huge FPS amount. Original Engrene but set Alt Limit to 300 or 400. All good!

    One simple effective way of balancing spawnkilling with the teams own vehicles, is to have main base as a minefield, just as it is on the total war mode.

    I also agree on alt limit to be at 400 ( near the clouds edge), and fog to be returned as it was on, atleast on engrene. But I am also positively surprised, that they did try to do something. Only problem was, they did more that we asked for :D 

    additional to that, please replace rafale on disturm to A10 aswell, and same thing, alt limit to 400, and fog how it used to be.

    Crater in my oppinion, is actually quite well balanced, considering its completely asymmetrical. But I think fog there could be even heavier ( thamugati type fog ), and alt limit set to 50-100m above the hilltops.

    Luch aim could be modified by making it possible to shoot a little lower, kinda annoying to have enemy runing around your nose while you cant hit him, not even from 20-30 m distance, as it still shoots over him.

    Minefield inside a base is not a good idea. All that will happen is teams will camp inside and it will become a drawn out camp all game where one team cannot attack and the other refuse to leave. 

    Spawn camping is an issue because of how games start / the way people join and rejoin and the fact there is no penalty for rage quieting. I have said for a long time now a 32 player room should not be starting with 3 people.

    Actually I feel its the opposite. When teams are fair there will not be spawn killings, when teams are unfair, then at least people have an option to defend and outplay the stacked team. But of course since you want to capture all flags at all cost ( even if it gets you 0.2 kd ) then you dont like the idea.

    In your mind perfect game is where enemy rushes only and its very open game - thats very limited thought. BG is not cqc, where rushing the gold.
    Main bases should be quite heavily guardable and since changing the maps would be harder to do (yes?), then minefield would be easiest to do and that would fix the base rape situations

     Community stares down at defensive players and campers with disgust, but for some of the players its best they can do with their low fps. But you with your ~3k PC know nothing about low fps, so again for you it means nothing.

    The thing is, you have to watch the problem from average/lower player point of view.

    Some ideas are stupid and this is one of them.

    Having a main base players cannot enter will lead to one thing. People just sitting inside running the clock down. A minefield is not away to solve spawn camping. As you clearly state when two even teams start a game spawn trapping is often not an issue and if you where to play a game which started 16 vs 16 for example and you end up trapped you deserve to be spawn camped because the team as a whole failed.

    But by stopping players from entering a main base all that will happen is people will camp inside and not leave making games drawn out and boring. Thw way to solve spawn camping is to address the issues that cause it

    Team stacking
    People rejoining 
    People leaving mid game
    Games starting with to few players

    Theses are the areas to fix.

    HMMM already maps like this where u die in 8-9 sec if u go in enemy base, and still some hacker run inside score 7-8 headshoot and run out reload and repeat.

    For example duskwalley a vip GM suported clan land in your main kill max team who has no airplain spawn a new bird lift of and bomb down max team before 8-9 sec end, and they no die.

    Funniest dead i got kid jump out airplain in midd air in base score 3 headshoot on my team while repair his bird 4 times and before hit ground back in airplain lift of score 4 bomb kill and out base, and i survived with 0,01HP, and healed up to 30% with medic :)

    So i dont understand why u boys cry not possible to kill in a map where u cant enter enemy base?????????????????????
