Implemented gank/griefer-friendly addition causes player exodus

I must say, this has been a GREAT way to remove players from the
game.  A masterful show of support for griefers and jerks of the seas
EVERYWHERE!

I've already had no less than THREE
friends quit over this "trial" (yo, PapayaPlay, IGNs are available upon
request). I, myself make no efforts in trying to hide the FACT I've
always carried tributes and blue flags. Pirates will not get much
anything out of me.

I've also gone ahead and
told as MANY people I can who expressed fear over the pirates wont for a
constant chain-gank on us traders/adventurers that there's a great way
to avoid being farmed (looking at you, GFire!)... LOGGING OFF! Just tribute out for your handy-dandy green flag, drop anchor and LOG OFF. Not logged in? No gankfest!

Yes,
I am VERY aware that that is a VERY shady "solution" to the problem,
but having a fully modded LLM, ROG, COG, etc. are going to ALWAYS out run a newbie in a Grad Sambuk.So much for their green flag grace period if they can't GET TO PORT BEFORE IT RUNS OUT (think about sailing in a 1/2 grad sambuk with only 1 sailor because they got melee'd out). I, in my 9/8 CCC that I've clocked at 20+ kts has a hard time outrunning certain pirates.

PAPAYA PLAY:
Take a quick look over at Archeage. Please. Go ahead. Trion took in a
VERY buggy game, mismanaged it and its a festering cesspool of griefers
and gankers. What's in common with UWO? Full mandatory PVP and no
protection for the person(s) BEING hit. That is the future
of UWO with no protections for the little people and the ones
uninterested in PVP. You push them away and out of the game with
"updates" like this.

You want to make
money? I'm aware of that. You want to make players happy? I'm aware of
that too. But, you need to know that battle is only PART of the game.
Why are you making unilateral decisions that affect an ENTIRE game... Just for the pirates/privateers?

Ok,
lets assume for a moment that pirates are important to the game
(debatable). So, why is the control system to keep the pirates in check
from ruthlessly obliterating every newbie so neutered? Why do BH's get
such little incentive to keep pirates in check? Here's my .02 on this
little thing:

1) 10,000% increase
in bounty values. Make bounties so SKY HIGH that it becomes quite the
money sink for the game. Also, gives BH something to look forward to
when they go farm reds/oranges as much as they farm whites.

2)
Fix Pillage Orders. Pirates can attack whites, so be it. Its nice if
the whites can hit back even if they're not specced for DOING pvp. Spam
pillages enough and pirates will think twice about getting someone in
melee.

Alternatively... PERMADEATH for
reds/oranges sunk by BH players. Let the terror of being hit by someone
superior to them sink in. Give them a reason to NOT be a jerk to
whites. Hit once, run away and keep away from those BH players or else
that white they're farming could reveal where they are and suddenly the pirate is
looking to save their lousy hide lest they lose EVERYTHING by being sunk
by the BH.

PP, this is the only time I'll
bother writing regarding red/orange vs. white on this forum. I only
write this because I just lost three friends on this game over this
"trial". If you care about your player base, find an alternative. FAST.
