Plate and gold armour 'great success'

Does anyone know how far you can improve gold ornamented armour with great success?

If you get great success on plate armour, and then great success again when you ornament it, are you getting an additional boost to the stats?

I've only just started experimenting on it.

I had a great success plate suit and was lucky enough to get great success again when doing the gold stage. The result was a gold suit with 140/100 dura and 98/70 def.

On another great success plate suit (A good one with 120 dura/ 70 def) I only got an ordinary success at the gold stage, but when I checked the stats I had 97/70 def (with the dura at standard 100/100).

How much should a gold armour with 140/98 be worth? I was thinking 30-40 mil.?

    Hate to brust your bubble but even 100 def 140 dur gold plate armor is normally still only around 10mill.Has been for a very long time before and after the server wipe.U are free to sell at any price but u will have to get lucky to sell it at higher thin normal and it not being 100 def.

    afaik all armors have a set top defense of 100 with GS, which is somewhat hard to get with many low tier armors. i dont think plate can get it but  i am sure gold plated can get 100 def which should be its max without forging.

    no the stats of the base do not matter when used as material if you have 100 def plate armor and gold plate you directly lose stats unless you GS at max again.

    pretty sure a 100 plain can be worth 30-40m but a 90-99 plummets to about 10-20m after all everyone only like the shiniests things.
