What is up with paymentwall?

Not only do they remove certain payment options on different regions(Like paysafecard for Australia) but now they require my National ID and the credit card that I currently use in order to pay for their products.(Though this was after having denied payment on their European payment options as I was forced to use a VPN to even try and buy the UWC I wanted...)
