Hello all, 

I decided to come back to the game, I first joined UWO in the early months of the Netmarble times, then OGP. Served as [CA] with OGP for the initial months as well, and then I had to stop playing due to personal reasons.

In the mean time I learned that the game moved to Papaya but I was not ready to come back until now.

It is good to be back, I recreated my character as before member of the French Nation, starting out in Marseilles. Many things came back quickly during the initial moments of the game as well as many fond memories, when one loves a game, it stays with you forever, I can't wait to start roaming the high seas again!

I am currently doing the new Tutorial and new player experience, I am not sure that I like it, I miss the old schools system from beginner to advanced. But of course this is new, and maybe my impression will change as I go along.

I appreciate the approach where, the player discover the initial steps of the game on their own in a dynamic way before being sent to the Academy at around lvl 5. It is just the fact of National Localized academies I thought was a more fun approach than doing everything at one place.

In any case I found out that many previous players did not restart after the wipe and it is understandable, but I do not mind it that much there is so much new content and I am looking forward to re-discover old and discover new adventures.

Still, if any friends from NetMarble/OGP days still play hit me in game if you like to catch up and friend up.

Otherwise always open tin making new friends, I already met with WalkerDePlank who was very helpful and to quickly get my feet wet. So thanks to you Milady!

That is it for now, I just wanted to say hi to the new community.

    Heya mate,

    I did not heard much about you, because you were probably at the time when I haven't start playing yet. I am from 14th July 2014 which may explain it. x_x

    However, knowing how much you've contributed the game and as being a [CA], I do hold you in high regards. :-)

    It can't be helped if there are certain contents where you are unfamiliar with, after so many years there appear changes even in UWO. I have the same from my previous game, Runescape (game I played before UWO). It is indeed sad that all our progression got reset it and I've been genuinely concerned about it... Fortunate, most of our dedicated players managed to bring nearly everything back to square in not even a year (partly also thanks to the updates that made certain aspects progressive easier).

    It makes me happy to see old players returning that I couldn't met as I started the game pretty late. By this, welcome back in UWO and I am looking forward to see you in the seven seas! Cheers ^_^

    Thank you all, new and old for the kind welcome :)

    And also a pleasure to make your acquaintance as well [CA]Huseyin_Gui.

    Indeed there are quite some new elements in UWO which I am discovering as we go along with renewed excitement.

    This game has a very special place in my heart, and I consider it one of the Top 3 best MMORPG's of all time for me. And this since Ultima Online when I first started playing these games.

    It is actually fun to be a youngling again, and the new aspects of the game add to the feeling of being new, arouses curiosity and motivates discovery :) The previous experience with the game adds in a positive way opening the way to the new elements in a smoother way.

    I am finding out that the game has improved in so many ways in terms of in game information accessibility and very reasonably tied in with various game mechanics.

    The only undecided part is the New Player Tutorial (Voyage Academy) which has changed towards Sangres. I shall make a post about this in the suggestions area. :)
