Halloween event

General Discussion
Have a question for any of you that are doing this event. I decided to try it out but not sure what to do next. I've spoken with Jake and gone to deal with his assistants where they talk about ghosts stealing the candy. Went back to sarges and told Jake about it. He sais he'll look into the repots about the ghosts and get back to me. When does he do that? If i try to talk with him again, he just starts the original job again to speak with his assistants. Do i have to wait for a day or so before the story continues? When do i deal with the ghost ships? Any help would be appreciated, thx.
  Also, where is the witch npc that the add talks about? I've searched around a few cities now but can't find her. When do i start getting event points? Thanks for any help.

    Phase one - go see the helpers ang give them some stuff (flour, almonds or almond bisquits)
    Phase two - should start tomorrow - go fight ghost ships for a few days.
    Phase three - go help making candy and see the witch.

    When Jake says to visit his assistants again, each has an ingredient they want (200 flour or 200 almonds or 50 biscuits), but the required number of deliveries can be made to the same assistant simply by talking to that one again - then they tell you how many more times you need to deliver - just repeat until the mission is complete.

    By putting extra biscuits in my Captain's Bag and having 200 in normal inventory it only required making one trip to Madeira (after the running around for the confectionary book and ingredients to make the biscuits.)

    It's the one in Madeira that wants biscuits. Flour for London and Almonds in Athens.

    wow, those ghost ships are ridiculously hard. Every hit is VERY high damage and each shot reduces your max dura. I don't think it's possible to do the ghost part solo :/

    Ghost ship is very hard, 1000 HP and 250 crew x 2 ships.
    Help destroy ghost ship.

    Thx for the link! Also i figured out that there's smaller fleets if you are doing solo, also all you have to do is sink admiral (unless you are going for battle avr's from plunder fleet).

    Just hint for those who are killing those ghost ships to rush the Halloween points:
    1) Finish the second part story of the Event by talking to the Witch at London north of the square near Royal Palace and then to Jake in Sagres. You get will get additional points for beating those ghost fleets: +5 with bat spear and +10 with Sorcerer's Staff (Must equip them!).
    2) Pick the ones with 2-ghost fleet formation, because chances are slim that you get pinched which also saves time with kill rushing.
    3) It doesn't matter how many kill counts you make during the battle, therefore, sinking the admiral directly is recommended.
    4) Have a ship with at least 800 durability and 50 armour or greater, quite low conditions as their damage output with guns are somewhat weak. For sailors above 150 is recommended in case you are the one that fights them (not your alts or friends who are idle)
    5) Having at least 5x broadside guns whereas each has roughly 1100 piercing power or greater. Moreover, having your naval skills at least R10 or higher is recommened. Both combined should allow you to deal at least 300+ broadside damage on them at mid-range or closer. It is essential as they will repair when their durability is below 350~ and they do have R20 repair, which makes killing them too difficult.
    6) If your base melee attack is about 400 (excluding oxfords, PEA etc.) or higher then you can try to kill the admiral through melee especially if admiral can be disordered by you (takes just 2 rounds assault to kill them then). Although it bears a risk that they can retreat and in overall it takes more time than killing them through cannon fires.
    7) In case towing your alt or friend, who aren't participating in fighting, let them cancel follow drop anchor at the spot where the most ghost fleets are stacked each other so they are still in the battle ring whenever you engage one of them. This will avoid any hindrance like colliding between your fleet mates etc.
    8) Bring LCCT/MCCT and a lot of vigour food as you may end up consuming a lot of them.
    9) Do NOT bring equipment's or clothes that you aren't actually using, because without paying attention you may lose them from durability hitting zero. Same goes for shipparts, you only need your broadside guns and special equipment.
    10) Having gunnery as high as possible prolongs the life-span of your cannons which allows you to switch them less often.

    There may be more I want to add. Nevertheless, I hope these hints will help you most out ^_^

    Hehe, I pass for this phase of the Halloween event. Those ghostships are way too hard for a merchant like me...

    Let me know what great rewards I miss by not fulfilling the event mission.

    Florian, the ghost ships only give more event points to buy thing in the shop. You can also get points from delivering trade goods to the Finne Family Maids, so you don't have to miss any reward ;)

    When you have 40 pumpkin pies, go to the Village Girl standing by the big circle. She will trade you a basket for the pies, then you can go talk to Finne - she will ask you to take the basket to the witch in London.
    Go to London, give the basket to the witch, then report back to Finne.

    Once you finish, the challenge can be repeated.

    Forgot to mention - you can trade ingredients for more pumpkin pies, but trading the 40 pumpkin pies for the candy basket can only be done 1 time each day - the Village Girl will offer to trade sweets tomorrow.

    So
    1. I delivered 50 Raisins, Dried figs, dried strawberries, dried apples to the 4 different Finnes in Sagres and they each gave me 10 pumpkin pies per 50 goods.

    2. Exchanged the 40 pumpkin pies to the Village Girl for 1 Sweet treat basket.

    So far so good.

    3. But when I went to Mary Finne, she really had nothing to say.

    4. I continued on to the witch in London who only told me about the ghost ships and troubles getting candy which I heard before for Part 2. She did not take the candy basket.

    Is there a step anyone can think of I might have missed?
